@AquosSlash Vangief tried to avoid Juicebox's Ultra 2 with a backdash. Unfortunately, Juicebox delayed his Ultra by holding it so Vangief got caught. You'll notice that @ 1:30, Vangief was successful by using the exact same tactic, so no Vangief is not "blind".

@MrPatrickPat True, but it seems that whenever gief grabs or ultra's someone during a dropped link, everyone cries mash ultra! lol, like how do you mash a 720? Most grappler players constantly buffer their 360's or 720's & rather than trying to be psychic & perfectly predict exactly when your opponent drops the links, you can just execute it during a combo & it's your opponents fault if their links aren't tight enough to not present an opening for the grab.

Every backdash is considered airborne. The problem is if Abel knows the backdash is coming, he can delay U2 and catch him anyways. The safest thing to do in that situation depending on position, would be for gief to ex green hand. If no meter, U2 is basically free damage
