Those officers used standard training to move the hostile crowd back. They lack respect while addressing civil authorities and OC spray is not a freaking chemical weapon. It is used to ensure the safety of officers in a potentially dangerous situation.

I don't think the protesters were showing social disobedience, they were protesting in a violent manner. Protesters should not be wearing intimidating or combat oriented clothing. The east coast makes us look like a bunch of pussies! Perhaps a detailed analysis of west coast demonstration and disobedience is necassary. We were deffinatly ineffective. What did we accomplish; nothing. why? i don't know. lack of numbers, experience, strategy, motivation, pain threshold?
This was my first protest and i didn't no what to expect. I was pretty dumb up there in the front row. Definitly learned many lesson and what NOT to do. Can't wait for next year!

2) Let the big boys do the talking.

As he said, your very misinformed, no banks were broken into that day, and there are cops who do dress up as anarchists or protesters and run out to cause damage, look at Greece back in December after the 15 year old was shot dead by a cop, a Greek TV show caught footage of cops walking around acting as if they were protesters at night randomly punching in shop windows with batons. But since no banks were broken into in DC, what the hell are you doing running around and saying false crap?

Every time I watch this, it cracks me up how fast these idiots can back up when the "chemical weapons" come out (pepper spray). If they would have stayed on the sidewalk like the rules stated, they would have been fine. The kept pressing forward and ended up in the street again and and office went down trying to push them back. Not the police units fault if the crowd behind kept pushing. I also didn't see any baton blows and I was right there. There were pushes with the batons.

As much as police are needed, they are a danger in themselves. Such events should be anticipated in the presence of police, as they're occupation requires them to be mechanical beings. Always avoid them, and if they confront you, do not answer more than you need to, and do not attempt to reason with them. They're not the same as a regular citizen.
