Superstition Mountain was once an island on the west end of what was lake cahuilla, this area was called Aztlan. Story is that there were caves in superstition mountain where the indians dwelled that were filled with gold n silver. Next time you're out there, look for caves, and if you find any treasure, spilt it with me.
superstition mountain? Isn't that where the "old ductchman lost mine" is rumored to be located. According to stories the old dutchman found an ore that has big nuggets on it but would not tell where the mine is located.
never lol superstition mountains is an "unknown" territory. no one is ever there. even on big holiday weekends. its amazing! i love it and i would recommend for anyone who is interested in off road. MDR course for serious trucks and buggies and dunes for everyone and some amazing jumps for bikes and quads if you know where to look.
huh. might have to give a whirl next time we go riding.. might be a while tho. we used to go riding alot, when we lived in california, we moved to kansas a year ago. no riding at all here. it sucks. lol
