Very inspiring. It is frightening that the Park Rangers kept saying, "Put down your cameras, put down your cameras." Perhaps the weapon most feared these days is camera.
Thanks for sharing this video.
It is so important for fathers to be in their children's lives. May God bless their efforts.

You are pretty ignorant if you think that the park rangers were the ones telling people to put their cameras down. Try park police, hence the word police on their shirts. Duh.
I guess the camera never lies, thats why law enforcement fears it because it can show their overreactions and crimes. Just look at the G20 protests in the UK.
Go to Yahoo and search for "The Myth of the Deadbeat Dad" which was a Reader's Digest Canada article. It was written by a woman that stated the majority of Dad's were not deadbeats. She gave an example a $150K a year Dad that after taxes paid his ex over $7000 a month, leaving him with $300 to survive on. The author gave numerous examples of guys that committed suicide because of court-enforced poverty. It's a sad article, check it out.
I wish they would do it again. Fathers and men's issues are taboo in the media, in the courts, in congress, in Universities, all while feminism is in the drinking water. Go figure.
It is amazing to me that the media didn't cover this. Even the local DC media. Nothing. Lincoln Memorial comandeered, swat team called, two national monuments closed down and no media coverage? I know that press releases went out along with emails and still no coverage? The DC press covers every little blip on the screen but ignores this? Makes you wonder who is controlling things.
In watching this non-violent, human rights protest against gender bias discrimination I noticed (what you will not see here) at the end of the demonstration that these activists took out both the US and British flags. They are not terrorists. They love their countries and their children. They need water, not handcuffs.
It is important to note that the police confiscated the cameras of some of those taking pictures. Did they have the right to do that? I simply do not know. Why they would want to do that is even more baffling. Couple that with the absolute blackout of media coverage here in the DC area and its looking pretty strange. Since when has our local media missed two monuments being shut down and a swat team called?
It depends under what laws they operating by. Normally you do not take anyone's camera - it would be harassment, theft. The US is a democracy where freedom of speech, freedom of press is cherished. Under the Patriot Act, they can do almost anything. But one thing is clear, those guys in plainclothes must provide ID when asked otherwise they are impersonating police. In this protest I give high marks to both law enforcement and to the human rights activists.
I don't give the police higy marks. I was pushed several times and others were shoved, many were threatened with arrest. While most everyone was calm and fascinated by the event the police were not. I think it likely that the police took out their frustration and helplessness on the crowd. I really did not appreciate the treatment.
The police have the right to take two actions. To detain and use reasonable force. Second, arrest you using reasonable force. They do not have the right to touch you if you are not being detained, arrested. If you were shoved, pushed or hit by police you have the right to charge them. Remember the police are prepared to act against terrorists, cut them some slack for this, cooperate with them. If they want to arrest, detain, do not resist. At the same time they can't go around hitting people.
"If America Doesn't negotiate with Terrorist! Then why does Family Court Keep holding our children hostage?" I am glad to know that there are men and women like this who will stand up to the Domestic Terrorism being conducted in our very own Family Courts. Great Job and my prayers are with all effected with the paralysis of Family Court. At least F4J has found a antidote!!!!!!!
I saw this stunt! It made for an even more interesting viewing of the monuments. I thought it was great that these guys were expressing themselves in such a way, without hurting anyone. It gave those cops something to do. If you drive/walk around DC there are TONS of cops with nothing to do. So yeah, keep up the good work.
people who are not effected don't care, but for those of us that are being abused by the system, it's an issue worth protesting for. Way to go DADS!!!
The police response to this event was interesting. They were remarkably absent for the first few minutes. A couple of women yelled "Where are the police" and "Why doesn't someone do something." Almost all of the other onlookers who were mostly tourists, parents and their young children simply watched in awe and the protest unfolded. Listen carefully at 2:20 and you can hear the little girl who was next to me saying "When I get back to school this will be a good story!"
Thanks Guys, I'm with you.

Why would park police tell people to put their cameras down? Do you think that's ok?
Do you want to give up all your freedoms to police authority?
Why would you call me ignorant when you don't even know me?

Men are dying, and their children end up pregant
or in Prison by the thousands every year because
Congress Refuses to Listen, and Men have given up
trying to reason with their Mis-representatives, except
for RON PAUL and a hand full.
Three cheers for F 4 J leaders Mr. Tenn, Dickerson, who
were arrested just for standing at the base, and for Mike
& Jolly who climbed up on ol Abe Lincoln.
Shame on Congress and CPS perjurors for driving Men
to this point. Moms hurt too.

Did they do this again this year? They need to if not and why is this not getting real media coverage?
