  • To your knowledge, are there any pro wrestling venues in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, or within a 50-75 mile radius of said location?

  • Really cool old stuff. Can anyone tell me if there is a video posted on YouTube from June of 1983 videoed in Reunion Arena in Dallas Texas of the David Von Erich v Jimmy Garvin for the Texas Heavyweight Title? I saw a little snippet from the feud between David and Jimmy Garvin, I've been looking for more video from that event for quite sometime and have just about given up. Can anyone help?

  • TEXAS TORNADO!!!!!

  • On the clip with Austin, was that the punisher? aka the undertaker

  • Dallas wrestling started at the North side Coliseum and the Sportatorium. They move from North Side to Will Rogers later. I was about 11 years old the first time we went to matches at the North side, Johnny Valentine posted George Scott and made him bleed like a stuck pig, from then on I was hooked.

  • nice vid !!! csc/10 in Lynchburg V.A. (U.S.A.)

  • Im not one to point out mistakes, but that clip of Wahoo/Johnny Valentine is actually from WGHP-TV in High Point, NC, from Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling. Sorry.

  • Great video. Texas has truely prodiced some of the best wrestlers & best wrestling ever in history of pro wrestling.

  • This video is excellent...it brought back lots of great old memories of the old school wrestling in Texas...

  • The Blanchards, The Funks, & The Von Erichs are Texas, while Gary Hart imo was the best manager in the sport, his heel factor was just that believable.

  • @armandroh666 Don't forget the Windhams.

  • @DefLeppardVanHalen Fair point, with Blackjack Mulligan who was a great brawler with Lanza for sure, then of course Barry who was tremendous in the ring, especially during his early days with Mid-Atlantic and the NWA. As well as Berry's brother, Kendall Windham who'm wasn't that bad in the ring but he was just kind of there. And Mike Rotundo who was so much more than his I.R.S. gimmic within the WWe during the early 90's, case in point his early career from 1984 - 87, to NWA stint from 1987 - 91

  • Awesome. Hail old school wrestling from The Lone Star State.

  • Great video

  • Wrestling in Texas. Some of the greatest wrestling personalities of all time. Thanks for the post. Growing up in South Detroit, there was nothing better than picking up the latest issue of Wrestling Reue to see what was happening in wrestling hotbeds like Texas. And when they came up here for the Sheik's or Bruiser's promotion or watching Texas wrestling on television, it was pure magic.
