RIP AL - He and Force helped get NHRA through a rather "interesting" experimental period in the early-mid 90's. Their dynamic and intoxicating energies and personalities made great tv. Tolliver almost brought it back out of JF, but Hofmann did it best. Don't forget, there wasn't ESPN's 6 hours of race coverage..it was a 3 week delay on TNN's American Sports Cavalcade. Don't even want to get into PPV experiment...ugh. Sorry - Thanks Al - you will be missed.
From where you are sitting, you are not too far from where I use to sit on Saturdays at N.T.R.

one of the greats....I 've missed him ever since he and Jim Dunn parted ways during the Gators in 02.

It really made me sad when i heard the news of his passing :( he was a great racer and he will be missed
