  • Money/travel belts are a nightmare to use. They are very uncomfortable, hard to use and you look like a stupid tourist when you have to pull it out. I like your idea of having a dummy wallet. Travel belt is another alternative.

  • Thanks for sharing

  • also canada

  • How about a normal wallet in one pocket and a 9mm in the other?

  • Thanks for the tips

  • thank you

  • I have never had a synthetic wallet like that. Mine have always been something that resembles leather but I find the snaps on my wallets always begin to tear the fabric and at some point I am walking around with one or no snaps. Does this happen less with the synthetic ones?

  • This wallet actually came with Velcro which I replaced with snaps (I posted a tutorial on how to do this elsewhere).

So fare it's held up well. If you're worried about it falling apart make sure to get a heavy duty synthetic wallet like those offered by Maxpedition and then add the snaps yourself.

    Hope this helps.

  • Lithuanian litas of the values 1, 2 and 5 used to be notes but they were replaced by coins several years ago.

  • Thanks for that -- I never thought of using a "decoy" wallet--explaining the need for coin storage and a wallet that holds bigger notes was super.

  • I think the Scottish Pound used to be a note. But I'm not too sure.

  • Well the english pound used to be a note until 1983 I think. so it's possible.
