umm, Sonic Adventure was received quite well when it was released. Sure, it's dated, but every 3D game is by today's standards.

If you'd put Sonic 06 on there however, no-one would argue.

I played (emulated) 3D World Runner with some rinky dink little paper glasses I got from a box of Fruit By The Foot. You practically hafta cross your eyes to the point of pain to be able to "properly" get the effect... wouldn't be the case had they just reduced the separation between the two images.

I disagree with the MegaMan Legends entry. I have never had a problem with the controls or camara, and I have heard much worse voice acting. (MegaMan X4, anyone?) Furthermore, the actual gameplay, story, characters, etc. more than made up for its flaws. I consider the Legends series the best games I have ever played other than Classic MegaMan.

sonic games have problems with the camera and speed, speed, never a problem in 2d, in 3d is giving sega and the sonic team a headache because it just cant be proggrammed right , the camera is just too slow and innacurate to keep up with the blue blur. sonics speed has never been mesured, it was once mesured at 750mps,and this was slow to sonic, but this is hard to translate to 3d. and its not helping that the sonic team cant come up with a game by themselves lately.

For the most part 3D Sonic games aren't that bad. Adventure 1 and 2 were great, there was a slump after that but Colours and Generations shows they're starting to get it right again

Mega Man Legends wasn't so bad... except the camera and control were a bit of a mess.

Also, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 probably shouldn't be so high on the list. Sure, they should be on the list -- they were decent games that didn't manage to make the jump very well. The others until Colors [some may even say until Unleashed, barring the Wii/PS2 versions] were bad and #2 worthy.

And yes, Castlevania 64 was terrible. No question there.

I actually thought some of the Sonic 3D games were decent (Adventure 2, Heroes and Colors at least). Though I do acknowledge that some of them were utter crap so a list of bad 2D to 3D transitions would not have been complete without it.

It wasn't the worst transition. Just the most infamous.

That said, you were missing one that warranted just as much mention as Sonic:

ya megaman legends doesnt belong on that list mostly because the camera for the most part was adjustable. sonic is kinda mixed in that one but its not the worst. hell sa1 was NOT terrible not even the remakes and hd versions are that bad. its the ones after sonic adventure that werent as good. heroes i give a pass, and colors too. the shadow game was ok, but sth2006 secret rings not acceptable

I agree with 8 positions, but come on. Megaman Legends? That was awesome game (not counting n64 version, where sound was really crappy). Castlevania. All of them is awesome, except for Castlevania Jugment wich was a terrible mistake (i foun Serio's Castlevania Fighting Fangame 100 times more entertaining that that crappy fighter for wii). first 3D Castlevania was a little buggy, but it was good. And look at Castlevania CoD, it's my favorite Castlevania after CV on NES and SotN (Saturn/PSX)
