okay, i'm gonna watch every single one of these! The first episode was awesome, and this is just sooooo hellarious!!!! LOVE IT! (spanish inquisition!)
For those of you complaining about "scenes missing" (ha), it's not ESMR doing it. If you look back over the comments, apparently he taped these from A&E, which in turn got a syndicated version that was edited for American television once upon a time, so some scenes are missing.
Oh that explains some things because I keep seeing scenes here on Youtube and some Monty Python specials that ESMR doesn't have. Thanks for clearing that up.
I love the sketch where Eric is selling jokes door to door.
I think the Spanish Inquisition is one of the most over-rated sketches they've done. It's funny, but there's just something not-clever about it or something. Know what I mean? Eh? I think I feel about it the same way I feel about Holy Grail--it's Monty Python for the masses, not for the true fans.
Well, I don't really know what to say.. Can you give some examples of the opposite of what you mean? e.g: What's your facorite episode or something like that.
There are so many, where to begin? One I've been thinking about a lot lately is the poet Ewan McTeague, "Can you lend me a bob till payday?" The sequel to Nudge nudge, the restaurant sketch, Anne Elk, The Fish License, the Architect Sketch. (Actually, I've been writing about five comments on every show as I watch them in order. Probably enough to annoy everyone else! :) So if you look back through, you can see what I like! :)
The truth is a lot of it has to do with the popularity of it. Everyone knows the black knight, everyone knows "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!" But then if you say to one of them "More beans!" or "Right away, Squire, I haven't had it in weeks!" or "Splunge!" then they look at you blankly. (Those are three more of my favorites, also flying lessons.)
I hate to impose on you after all the slogging you've been doing - thanks! - but for God's sake don't touch the animations. They come from the same 'bizarre free association' mentality as anything in the sketches.
while i do find the animations rather dull i think that they should not be skipped and that the opening scene should be cut if at all: i don't mind 4 parts per episode at all
Monty Python's Flying Circus is meant to be watched in its entirety with nothing removed or interrupted. That's the whole point of the stream of consciousness idea the six guys came up with. Keep it at 4 videos each episode, I really don't mind.

Another one that gets blank stares is, "Sorry squire, I gobbed on yer carpet."
Oh and, "Semprini?" "OUT!!!"

Why don't you just put up each episode in it's entirety instead of splitting them? Heaps easier.

you're limited to 100mb or 10 mins per video upload, whichever comes first

The animations are integral to the show, you can't remove them.

Absolutely not! Please keep the animated stuff as it's part of the whole Python experience.
