  • i cant create my network... help me

  • @jcasalt wat if i dont have a server or not a part of a network

  • I'd love to get started with this. However, I am unable to find any Team Foundation Server (beta or otherwise) other than the trial versions. I can't find the beta 2 version (supposedly free) anywhere. The link on your blog doesn't work so...can you help me out with this, I'd really like to learn these...

    Many Thanks!

    eug3n91

  • @eug3n91 Beta 2 version is no longer available, and even if it was you don't want to use it and it had several bugs that are now fixed in the current release version. You need to get a trial or a paid version.

  • @jcasalt Thanks a lot for the reply! I'll probably get a trial version and work along with your tutorials.

Great job with them and thank you for answering my comm. on such short notice!

    Cheers, Eugen!

  • The Video is good; But don't you have Zoom capabilities for you screen recorder?

  • @willnsub I'm sorry, I'm not that good at video editing still.

  • @legobuilders2 Thank you very much!

XD

  • Is that a virtual machine?

  • @nnetproductions The Team Foundation Server is in a virtual machine. The Visual Studio is in a physical machine.

  • make the tuto in french

  • lol ive installed it many times, but i can't find the damn program on my computer...

    any idea where it's located?

  • @bentleybrain Should be in your Start menu under the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 folder.

  • Another topic: Can somebody tell me how do I create a VB program that looks for an certain entry in the collumn and row of an Excel sheet and then displays this in a textbox. e.g. A is the collumn for an certain department and 1 is the row for how many men are working. A1 should give e.g. 27 while A2 may be 13. It's not a good example but I hope you got the picture.

  • I was hoping someone could give me some info. I was directed to this program for the sake of creating entertainment software. I went to purchase Visual Studio and found out it was $11,000 US dollars. Wow, to say the least. This is a noob question but what does this program do?

  • @0nisful Visual Studio is a software development environment. It allows you to create any kind of software program.

  • hey man, have you tried to use sql server 2008 in windows 7? i tried but it always installed with errors, i had to go back to xp to be able to use it :(

  • @martmelee I have been using SQL Server 2008 in Windows 7 all the time with no issues. You should get no errors.

  • visit my videos and just watch one of them

    anyway i liked the video

    full rated

  • @swprotecter84 I'm glad you like it!

  • I dont have a team work station???

  • Why are the files so much larger for VS2010, even a simple "Hello World" takes up around 20MB this is far to much! And can you please type the address to your bog below the video. I could not understand what you quoted as the address in the video, thx.

  • @sgtjoebear Please look at my profile, there you will find my blog address.

    Julio

  • @jcasalt Thx! I also received an email from Microsoft about the file sizes, seems there are precompiled headers included with the solutions. In a file called IPCH or something. These can be deleted without any effect to the program, but if you compile it again or debug it will attach the file again.

  • am i able to use c++ with this =/

  • @amvcreator13 Yes you can.

  • spanish accent

  • im thinking of getting these programs but i dont exactly know what the difference between visual studio and visual basic, or are they the same?. im just starting to learn how to program :)

  • @xawesomedeathx The video focuses on Team Foundation Server rather than any programming language. Visual Studio is a development environment where you can write code in multiple languages like Visual Basic, C#, C++ and much more.

  • im using DirectX SDK Aug2007 and VisualStudio 2010 has the last version ot DirX SDK , but there isnt included d3dx lib and headers , so i have to copy paste those libs , witch is extreamly stupid . Anyway this product is gread for writing code ! Exellent Job !

  • @ongamex Thanks!

  • but i cant seem to find the toolbox.please help regarding this

  • @Anshal89 ok i got the solution... go to->view->other window->toolbox (ctrl+alt+x)

  • Question: How can I get my files back into my solution explorer?

  • @jcasalt thanks for the tutorial, good job.

  • @seeyditti Just don't be a dick

  • @seeyditti you'r kind of a dick arent you? Btw. lose your US accent as well and do try to speak with a proper and true English accent, now that we are talking about accents and dialects.

  • COOL

  • Thanks im very helped with your tutorial why you make only 11part keep continues your great tutor.

  • @mynamerahmat Thanks!

  • hey if accidentally close the toolbox how to put back?

  • @MWMusicWorld You can always use the View menu to show any of the windows you might have closed.

  • @jcasalt add button tool wat name isit?the tool name

  • I think I'll stick with SVN.

  • @vidmanx0,

So a Version Control System is your replacement alternative to Visual Studio?

  • @kawless No I just think "Team System" isn't worth the money over SVN + regular Visual Studio.

  • thank, i might learning hack for school to get school unblock :L

  • @ANAS998877 You're welcome!

  • the great thing about visual basic is that it's visual and Basic. as opposed to C# which is written with alot of C's in it and those # sign thingies.
