Bright shining arms of Gerd, would that be the Milky Way? Or the ancient memory of the Milky way in Southern Hemisphere? Or Aurora Borealis? Or just moonlight? It could also be realization..."luminous emptiness".

@mogrhod Difficult to say for sure, but her bright arms "illuminate land and sea" with their "rays". Could very well be associated with the sun, which was feminine. The sun tends to "hide in the underworld"...
