JYP is a smart business man. But I don't know if letting lil jon work with a brand new artist was such a smart move considering lil jon isn't experienced enough to properly produce a singer. He doesn't have that backround but on the other hand jy worked with jon on some of his songs. For Jy, that was a smart way to bridge the gap from seoul to the states. Jy has enough experience as a singer to properly produce a singer but working with lil jon will help him create a new sound.

It's because JYP used to live in America. I think his family moved to U.S.A when he was young and somehow he or his family came back to korea. I don't exactly remember the whole story. But Rain has never spoken English and never had to. I still think that it's amazing that he is able to speak and I'm so proud of him. Learning other language takes so much time and hard work and when does he really have a time? He barely sleep about 3 or 4 hours. So please be proud of Rain who never stop trying.

Gotta lotta respect for JYP. In terms of song writing, producing and performing talent for Hiphop, R&B, etc. in Asia, Korea probably is the strongest and now can almost match the mainstream musical qualities of the US. In terms of Rock though, and perhaps other less mainstream sub-genre of music like Jazz, Acid Jazz, electronica, Japan's still stronger. In any rate, big props to JY for even daring to put Asian pop on world map.

Man the Korean from this video will rule the world of the music entertainment business. How come the Japanese and Chinese cannot do that. My theory is that, there is a stronger connection of the Koreans immigrants with their mainland. Often these first generation US Koreans get their education in prestigious universities, like Crown J from UCLA. Chinese have been many years here and were the first US immigrants. Japanese do not immigrate here anymore, since their country is doing fine.
