Honestly, the secret behind macs is that they are actually really good with not a lot of specifications. Since windows likes to be a resource hog, PC needs to be more powerful. Mac OSX doesn't hog and has hardware that lasts. This is my opinion. I am knowledgeable about PC's and know how to use Anti-virus and Ccleaner. The fact is plain and simple, Macs do not suck they will last a long time.

vista is and always was a shit OS, it ran like crap even under the fastest machine, but XP was still around and was still a flawless OS, all the bugs had been worked out. now windows 7 is out and it took all that Vista offered and fixed it. its fucking fast, uses memory more efficiently, utilizes the multi core processors to their full potencial that XP never did, and is way better for multi tasking.

@FreeForAllGamerz Yup, 500€ (bit more than 400 pounds) I got the 5742g 15.6" screen 500 gig hard drive, 8 gigs of memory (4 times the memory of them macs) decent graphics card. Il admit, the apple products all look pretty cool and smooth but thats pretty much it, why anyone would pay an extra 500 quid for something wich looks better but does half the job Il never know.

if you want a mac, just do like i did - create a pc worth of 400 euros, put in a hackintosh dvd in it, install it and voila you got a mac. I can even update to latest Lion version without any problems. It works even better then a REAL mac, I tested it with Xbench.

I own a macbook pro with thunderbolt, and honestly, its useless as shit. I cant even believe i bought this laptop. However, the only usefulness mac laptops have in this world is the ability to have a windows OS installed. I like having both because i can use the mac os for business and the windows 7 os for personal usage, which makes some sense because there are programs that are exclusive to macs that many industries use as a standard. But otherwise, go with a nice PC Laptop at the same price.

@FreeForAllGamerz Yup, 500€ (bit more than 400 pounds) I got the 5742g 15.6" screen 500 gig hard drive, 8 gigs of memory (4 times the memory of them macs) decent graphics card. Il admit, the apple products all look pretty cool and smooth but thats pretty much it, why anyone would pay an extra 500 quid for something wich looks better but does half the job Il never know.

if you want a mac, just do like i did - create a pc worth of 400 euros, put in a hackintosh dvd in it, install it and voila you got a mac. I can even update to latest Lion version without any problems. It works even better then a REAL mac, I tested it with Xbench.

@daairsoftguy555 Thats because it takes Apple 3 years to program applications capable to respond and write things using the "Revolutionary devices" it took apple 2 years to have MMS (Sending picture mesg) while phones you can buy for 50$ could do 10 times more that that at the time. a nokia nuron does more than any mac product. Basic executions and basic comands is what PC users want. not some dumb machine that does it for you,and doesnt do it right in the firstplace.Android is 100 times better

I own a macbook pro with thunderbolt, and honestly, its useless as shit. I cant even believe i bought this laptop. However, the only usefulness mac laptops have in this world is the ability to have a windows OS installed. I like having both because i can use the mac os for business and the windows 7 os for personal usage, which makes some sense because there are programs that are exclusive to macs that many industries use as a standard. But otherwise, go with a nice PC Laptop at the same price.

It’s like riding a bicycle. If you know how to fix it, you never have to take it to a bike shop to get it fixed. You just do it. You save a ton of money and gain lots of knowledge. Eventually, you start wanting to build your own bikes and you save even more money.
If you don’t know how to fix it, you take it to a shop and pay for someone else to do it.
