What the hell is Ahrima singing??? Its definitely not "the missing piece" because that's in a WAY different key!!! but he does get back to normal towards the end, so at least it wasnt COMPLETELY terrible
I thought it was awesome. I don't even know where these people get off expecting broadway level musical quality from High School kids. If you as me it was on par with any community theatre I've ever been to, so I thought it was pretty damn great. Screw these elitists.
Good to see this is being done by other people! Its amazing to see the interpretation and stage direction with something as open-ended as this musical! Bravo! :D
This play...(crosses out the word "play") *ahem* Musical...(crosses out the word "musical")...Opera? This creation is the most bizarre thing I've ever seen in my life. The whole premise of the story is just WEIRD, and paired with amazing music...WOW. And you guys seemed to have pulled it off wonderfully! Well done!
I saw this and loved it, but I was dissapointed by the dancing...maybe it was cause this music has such potential for amazing dancing, and I love choreography, so I wish they had just done more with that. But it was fun, and the singing was great for being highschool and such difficult pieces, too. ^_^
I'm actually impressed especially when I'm a theatre major. My friends and I were going to make a video over the summer for fun but never did. This actually inspired me to do so. I wish more clips were posted. I wouldn't use the term high school level but it was for fun. I wish this would turn to a proffessinal show but u did give it justice even if it wasn't over the top perfect.
honestly this being a high school production and having only a month to prepare, its done pretty damn well. the choreography is simple yes but being done so well for only a month is awesome
that being said i think that the characters were played well and the singing was awesome
I don't know how long you have to do this, but we only had a month. I'm sorry if I sound angry/bitchy, but we studied this play too. We worked out butts off to figure out what needed transitions and what needed dialogue.
Also the dancing was kept on a beginners basis. I made it so that it wasn't hard to sing while dancing. I have never seen a musical that didn't have dancing. Plus with out it the stage would have been more naked than it already was. You offended me greatly with you comments. Also our lead was nervous. This was his first leading role so I would appreciate it if you didn't judge us so harshly. I hope that your production comes out fine, but I am very proud of ours.
We did it as our last show as high school students. Plus we were prepared for everything. The fact is that we performed this at a high school level we weren't aiming for it to be some grand masterpiece. We had fun and worked hard. That is why I don't like people dogging our show. I am proud of my cast.
Plus, having dancers means more students get to be included, which might not be necessary for a professional production, but is an important aspect of high school plays.

I love this video! My only complaint is the lead guy could have done some more hand motions when singing.

This Nidria is really good...a bit too soft, but other than that, a great singer, and the role really makes sense with her.
