Dang! Some real oddball classics there, good to see! I bet it's as tough to find decent oldies in Canada as it is here in Michigan, with the salt. Lots of "iron moths" here too.

oh there is plenty of normal Camaros and Mustangs and Corvettes and T-birds, i always take there picture or video,but when ever i see real old or odd ball (rare) and when i mean rare, i mean rare to see at a car show generally,and there is plenty i have from this years show on video, and i will have another slide show in the coming weeks for this years show,the reason the 2008 one took me so long is, last June i wasn't even posting videos,and editing takes time! plus wmm problems! ugh! ;(

yeah you hit the nail on the head, but don't put Canada all in one boat, i say this because out in Western Canada they don't use salt, because of easier winters, and they use alternatives which i wish we would try, that dam road salt has killed millions of cars in the winter areas of North America, i wish we could create a lawsuit against the government and sue for them to at least adapt new chemicals, my truck will be a 365 daily driver, so i am thinking 2 maybe 3 oil guards a year

Maybe look into spraying the underside and inner panels with POR 15 or ZeroRust? They claim you'll never have to rustproof again. Chassis Saver is another good one.

yeah, we used black epoxy primer, after the frame was sandblasted, as far as we looked into it, the epoxy primer is just like that POR15 stuff, it acts like a plastic, and it seals the body and frame, we coated the whole cab with it and the underside of the box, and as soon as where done the body work on the box, it will get a coat too, also the cab and box floor and body mounts all have a coat of tar, and all body bolts are well greased, you have to stay 10 steps ahead of rust! it never sleeps

also i sprayed black undercoating (its like plastic spray in a can) on the door panels and on the inside bottom of the doors, i have to get some more,and make it nice and thick,plus there seems to be lots of drainage holes on the bottom of the doors unlike the old ones,then the front fenders still need a good undercoat and then i have to go over the engine compartment side walls, then it should all be nice and sealed, but i am still getting oil guard,they can stick there wands up in tight places

also i find if a person washes there car every week (even under neath!) and takes the time to detail a car with a good buff and coat of wax every 2-3 weeks even in winter, i know its hard, but its better than nothing, plus if you can find a garage or you have one, you can set up heaters to do detailing work, then there is no problem with driving a car/truck all year round, its when people get lazy, that's when rust sees a chance to invade, i will be on high alert with my truck!

also old cars/trucks are hard to find, the good ones are long gone either to the crusher or they have been taken for frame off restorations or part cars,or there sitting on a farm with a owner who won't sell it, and would rather it rot into dust, i see the odd 73-79 Ford truck putting around even in the winter, but its getting rare, i will stick out like a sore thumb, even in the summer,most cars are locked away in garages, cruise nights are the only real time ya see them, yep me and my ole Dino

also if a person out west or down south wanted to make cash, all they have to do is bring up car/trucks from down or over there out west, and they can make a killing, the local auto wreckers gave us a quote for fun, they said my frame i got is worth a easy $2,000 let alone any suspension parts or axles or even a transfer case, so i got a rolling frame with a NP205 transfer case for $500 i basically stole it, but i do help the guy out, i put up internet ads for his ford car/tuck part business
