@h34dfuk4r actually the rear wheel is not locked/stopped, to do this you apply the rear brake but only enough for it to break traction, it is skidding but not locked up, just moving slower than the bike or slower than the front wheel, motard motorbike riders use a simular technique!!! if the rear wheel locks up, the rear of the bike will try to overtake the front and without the motion of the rear wheel turning the bike will become unstable!

u need speed, plan of entering the turn and its about braking the rear wheels and shift ur weight forwards so the rear tyres lose grip while the front gets great grip. the same principles applies to cars drift and also in boats and even stunt planes can do air drift using the same principles.

drifting has absolutly nothing to do with the rear wheels spinning its simply is the person is steering in the opposite direction to where he is going i.e. left to turn right ext.

No. Real drifting with bicycles as well as cars require the rear wheels to be spinning.

You need countersteer and a good lean, and you can't use moutain bikes because their treads grip too much. It's pretty easy once you fall over a few times and get the hang of it.

You can also tell if it's a drift if you can hear the rubber of the tires sliding. But the music covers it up, so that's another way to tell it might not be true drifting. I just got back from bicycle drifting XD
