  • You should use me as a weight-loss program, then. I'll keep you in good health, you'll keep me laughing. It's a win-win situation. :)

  • Typical Kafir

  • Excuse me, who are you calling a Kafir? Did you even watch my video?

  • great vid, love it, keep up the good work, take care :)

  • An educated outlook on a topic which many many people hold ignorant opinions of.

    Thank u a lot!

  • This is a great video reply, an educated outlook on something many many people hold very ignorant opinions about. Thank u!

  • I'm Christian...(I used to be Pagan...) and I support wearing the Hijab...In fact, now that I've done tons of research on the matter I've even considered it! It's respecting your body and not wanting anyone else but their lovers see them. :)

  • very good video... keep up the good work!

  • You are a lovely, clever lady ...thank you for taking time to educate people.

-People are using religion as an excuse to harm others - yes! it is all about greed for power, that is so true.

May Allah bless you every possible way.

    Islam is peace and love...

  • amazing video

  • Thank you for posting your response. It is interesting for me to hear so many opinions regarding the hijab. I've recently become interested in why some women choose to wear hijab and others don't. I agree that if a woman chooses to wear hijab she isn't going to take it off in a "there, I showed you" moment. If a Muslim woman is wearing it of her own volition, most likely it is for spiritual reasons and I can't imagine her just whipping it off. Thank you.

  • what a great video, i enjoyed it very much, i'm not a muslima myself, but i love learning about islam, actually i've spent the whole day watching documentaries about it and researching, i'm so happy i found this video. would love to hear about why you chose to wear the hijab... hope to see a video about that soon;)

  • wow beautifully said, but why are you wearing it if your not muslim..?

i totally disagree with the "take off your hijab" video. Thanks for sharing. may Allah bless you.

  • True said . Good and nice Answer with sense of understanding

  • I loved this video! You said a lot of the things that I also think! Thank you so much.

I hope everything is going great with your treatment and I wish you all the best and may God bless you in this journey!

  • Thank you, I really enjoyed this video! Hijab is feminist but only the intelligent and thoughtful people might see that! Thank you for your expression of thought!

  • interesting!!!

  • YOUR SO AWESOME

  • YOU EriNightwind

you said that "Any one who wears an hijab is ignorant. "

Yeah now look who is wearing a hijab for

3MONTHS. Hey, this is for all the Muslim WOMENS. DON`T LISTEN TO THIS :@ DONT TAKE OFF YOUR HIJABS YEAH.many people in here are saying wow mashallah your doing greats and stuff like that they are wrong i disagree with you in any way. i dont care what you say

    i will change my ways

not matter what the world says

  • Did you actually watch my video? Did you even look at the image on your screen? Why would I wear hijab in my video if I thought women who did so were ignorant? I have never said that women who wear hijab are ignorant, nor would I ever say that. If I had said that, would so many Muslims be commenting here, thanking me?

My video response is in DEFENSE of women who choose to wear hijab, my video response is a CRITIQUE of NeoTropic9's video.

Please pay more attention next time you make a comment.

  • @sultanajaan19 I dont see what you are ranting about? are you critisizing this video or another?

    You're muslim?

  • I would never wear one to be honest, but that is my choice. It is also your choice (refering to women who wear them) to wear them. So long as both sides acknowledge the other side's right to live as they choose - it's all good. Keep on making videos. :)

  • youre back :) im sooo glad youre better :)

hope all is well and youre feeling good.

  • your a cool chick. and she IS standing up for islam, mashallah! i think she'd be cool to chill with too. she's smart. she would make a good muslim. ;)

  • nobody realizes...muslims make wudu, wiccans have a purifying bath, catholics have holy water. they are not so different as everyone thinks. if it wernt for wicca, id never have taken my shahada, or loved islam...

  • I love the way you speak- you are patient, understanding, and thoughtful, so far from judgemental-

    I want to be friedns with you. o.o;

By the I'm a witch. Lone practitioner.

  • I dont know why u wear hijab but being a muslim my mom doesnt wear hijab my future wife will not and my probably not daughter either (if they want to i wont stop them) but I still love ur video. Uve done a great job :)

  • now see i like u lol

im a muslim shia cover girl

i just find it amazing that u read the quran and i havent even got thru it=[

and btw u remind me of the women named jasmine who dosent cover but her daughter do and they have respect for eachother in many ways

  • religions are just so damn materialistic, frivolous idiologies that contradict their more elemental roots. Using objects to represent morality.. You can be naked and be bad or good. It doesn't matter.

  • please dont take the hijab off!! You are so fucking ugly you are making me sick!!

  • Hahaha, these kinds of comments always make me laugh. As if a subjective opinion has any merit. Oh geeze.

Thanks, I needed that laugh. :)

  • i completely agree..her stupidity was hilarious HAHA

  • Power to you!!! You are a very bright woman and I thank you for sticking up for a cause that is not your own.

  • fuck u whore

  • No thank you, I have standards. :)

  • You are a very, very interresting personality. And this is not meant in a negative way.

  • wow this video was a breath of fresh air after all the videos i've seen about Islam on youtube. thanks you're an amazing person! good luck with everything

  • This is the best video ever! Thank You

I pray for you that what ever your heart desire may come true!

    GOD BLESS YOU

  • I LOVE YOU !! If You Were Infront Of Me Right Now I'd Give You A Huge Kiss On The Forehead I Swear !!

  • You say she has no right to what she has said, she has every right, the niqab is a symbol of oppresion in the same way the swastika is a symbol of neo-nazism. And just because islam is a religion it does not mean it is exempt from critisizm. If you don't like the citisizm of Islam, then I know somewhere you could go where it is outlawed...Saudi Arabia, they'd love you there, they might not even rape you!

  • The niqab is not the hijab, nor is it very common throughout Islam - it's actually a highly debated practice. As well, if you had watched my video, you would know that I never said NeoTropic had no right to say what she said - I just said that she was being purposely condescending and questioned how much research she had actually done.

  • thank you I would like to say I appreciate people like you in the world for the reason that these other folk think they have an open mind but realistically they are narrow minded. Hijab is a piece of cloth and sadly if that girl thought that the underlying root cause was the hijab that is jus sad on her part because in reality that was about domestic violence which occurs all over the world. Islam does not at all support such domestic violence in any shape way or form.

  • Very nice video nice to see that there are still tolerant open-minded people out there who can see things from other peoples points of view. Very intelligent woman. I like the way you clearly explain your points without being rude or abusive towards anyone

  • I love u! Here is a person that actually studied my religion before judging it wouldnt imagine the amount of criticism that is thrown at Islam and nearly all of it isnt part of Islam!

  • Mashallah...that was beautiful sister. May Allah bless you and preserve you with honour in this world and the next...amin...Peace be on you.

  • Thank you.

  • you are really very logical and systematic in your thoughts :) I like that so much, I enjoyed hearing you.

  • whats a pagan s

  • You can look it up on Wikipedia, the explanation there is basic enough. I hope that helps.

  • Thank you for this video!!!! thank u so much!

    you're so brave :D It's interesting you're non muslim!

God bless you :) Peace be upon you and the whole world!

  • God helps you follow the right path of Islam, I wish you heaven inchaalah

  • Is anyone other than EriNightwind allowed to comment?

  • I screen all of my comments to stop comments which are just swearing or insults. I've been going through cancer treatments and other big life changes so I haven't had time until very recently (today) to start going through comments. I'm going through as quickly as I can, please be patient.

  • Then I wish you the very best of health and I pray you find your treatment not too taxing. Get as much rest as possible and hope you are back in the saddle soon x

  • Peace Sister! I am Muslim and I appreciate you defending our beliefs. You seem to be a woman of deep understanding. However, the hijab is a commandment and blessing from God. It is not something that a man or woman invented. You enjoy the blessing of hijab. So why not recognize and thank God for his many blessings? From God comes all of our worldly enjoyment. Thanks again.

  • Wow! I can't believe how brain washed women from Islamic coutries are.

Do you know what they do to little girl in those countries ?

Women from those countries are abused.

  • I'm not from an Islamic country, I'm an American born and raised.

  • i respect u sooooo much...i've seen very sad videos about islam and it made muslims look very bad...im muslim and i can never ever harm anybody or anything and i think a lot of muslims are just like me..thank u a lot i think u probably changed the view of a lot of ppl who hate islam....THANK U!!! and may god bless u and ur family and may god increase ur sense of knowledge!! ur great :)...but i hope everyone was like u and have a positve mind but there isnt a lot :(

  • Thank you so much!

    Your video is amazing. :)

  • I appreciate your video very much. I too cover myself by choice, not by religious dictum, and like you I have many reasons for doing so. Your video is well put together and you address so many salient points, perhaps the best being that if one refuses to learn one does not care about freedom.

  • secondly religions have modified customs over a period of time. everyone knows that when you attack the hijab, you are attacking the islam. it is not a covert attack or anything. It's quite a direct attack on the practice of islam that insists that women be practically socially invisible.

  • ok my response would be that, neotropic9 did not include women who are not muslims but choose to wear the hijab. In fact, this is very new to me. It was for muslim women who are truly forced to wear the hijab due to scriptural reasons or the power of the polity - it's an empirical claim. so basically i think this video has immense wtff value. There's nothing condescending about the aksa video.

  • Where do you live? Do you live in a Muslim country? Or America?

Because in America, you have real choice to wear the hijab, as is your right to choose what you want to wear.

Your video response fails to take that into account. The video you were watching was of a woman killed by her father for NOT wearing traditional hijab in her Muslim country.

I love and respect my body - yet I don't wear hijab.

When the only choice to wear a hijab is to wear it or die, the choice is obvious.

  • Aqsa's killing happened in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

  • Thank you for the nice relpy

and I hope to call you sister one day :)

  • i like your video ... it is respectful thank u

  • Ah i loved your reply to the "take of your hijab" video. I'm a muslim woman (convert) that wears hijab and i have a lot of respect for you, although i was quite sad that your not a muslim, you seem to have a great knowledge and understanding of islam !! Anyways complete respect to you and thanks for the video :)

  • thank you i think your a very noble woman. good to see that there are people out there who have not lost common sense and respect for fellow human beings.

  • Thank you for this video, You are such a beautiful smart lady , take care.

  • You seem to read a lot about Islam and the Sunnah. Why is it that your heart is still not yet open to embrace it? Or are you already..? I remember the story of the Prophet's uncle who sheltered, protected and support Mohammed (pbuh) and in the end still refuse to accept the teaching of Islam. And even the Prophet can't save him from the Hellfire..Hmmm... We all love you..

  • I think you video was amazing not just cas you parted with islam but the fact that you researched about it and didnt talk random crap b4 researching! also you found and learned the main goal of islam to create peace and it was through reading the quran if im not mistaken! obviously there are a bunch of rotten apples in a huge basket full of them but that doesnt mean all of them are rotten, meaning the muslims who are bad influence to the media do not follow the quran in anyway...amazin video thx

  • masha allah sister u spoke out loud and open many things out...i hope that insha allah guide u right way . jazak allah

  • assalam olykomo

alhamdolilah you have some understanding about religion .i dont find no violence in your saying .and i do agree with you read about other religion .people are free were either to believe or not

even if wearing hijab is coming from what you believing

as a muslim i live for a long time without wearing hijab my familly never tell me to wear it but when i read quran and start practicing my religion i wear my hijab as god ask me to wear it .and not from people...

  • May Allah guide u 2 the right path :) AMEEN

  • This is a great response to the video "take off your hijab"

thanks for taking the time to make this

  • i respect everything uv said n im grateful tht a non-muslim woman like urself is educatin ignorant people out there.

  • AMEN! And I am Christian and do not wear a head covering but her video was an emotional response. She is not educated as to the history of head coverings in various religions, as well.

  • Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it.

  • Greetings,

I admire your video response, you have some insightful points. That's very good how you embarked on a more rational and open minded investigation of Islam.

  • Great vid...btw you look really nice with the Hijab! :)

  • Thank you.

  • your realy strange .

  • Thank you. :)

  • This is a well thought out and intelligent response to that other video.

  • I am a non-Muslim and I've been learning about Islam from one of my coworkers who is male. This video and the comments have helped me understand how the hijab is perceived by Muslim women. Initially I did not see it as an "oppressive" practice for women but I wondered why women have to maintain their purity (as my Muslim coworker says) by wearing a hijab when men don't. For some reason my Muslim coworker didn't tell me that men wear a hijab to cover the awra, This was very informative, thanks!

  • I'm glad I could help.

  • Your intelligent approach to this issue is extremely refreshing!!! Thank you!

  • Last time i checked their is no religion called "Pagan." If she belongs to a pagan religion than why didn't she say the name of it. It's like a Jew saying "I am a abrahamic monotheist."

  • I have a video explaining my former religious beliefs. Please feel free to look over my other videos.

I hope you are doing well.

  • WHY ARE YOU WEARING IT????

  • I have a video about this, if I remember correctly it's titled 'An Introduction'.

  • thank u very much sister. u really have clean heart and i thank u from the buttom of my heart. thank u. if all people were the same as u ,everythings would have been easier for every1. thank u

  • you wear the sign of the triple Godess, therefore i share your belief.

however, some points made in the initial video are well put. certain interpretations of any religion are dangerous, and some symbols may become reasons for crime. as was, in that case, the hijab.

    blessed be...

  • I don't mean to be rude, but honestly, you seem to me like maybe you're confused or something. Why are you wearing that?. It seems like you don't know who you are and are looking for an identity. I am having a hard time focusing on your point with you wearing that and not being clear on why or why you have your particular set of beliefs as a foundation.

  • I have a video explaining my former religious beliefs (A Basic Outline of my Religious Beliefs) and another one explaining why I cover (An Introduction). I hope that clarifies matters for you.

  • i love you!! and i'am with you 100 percent!! :P

  • i love you

i choose to wear hijab when i was in 7th grade and just love it

  • Thank you very much for your effort in making this video and enlightening many people! It is just so much better coming from a non muslim as it proves your not being defensive! May God bless you! X

  • wooow ur video is amazing ...

am a Muslim...and am so happy to wear hujab...and nobody forced me to wear it ...and if anybody told me that i will have all the money in the world and i have to take off my hijab just for 1 sec.....i WONT!!

i know that u r not a muslim...but you are a very good woman....and very smart and very wise....thanx for everything

    :)

    peace

  • very intellegent woman =)

  • Why don't you wear a Nun's habit? Or a buddhist's robe? Do you really believe that this world is reformable? Can you reach people to become united? In thought and deed? Don't you realize that while you are criticizing people who seem to imply that the hijab is wrong - you are imposing your view on them - you are telling them that they are wrong? That's called an ego trip. You are wise - you are almighty - you are superior. Actually you are truly bizarre.

  • Who says anything about 'uniting' people or being 'wise'? It's a simple matter of respecting personal freedoms - it's common sense, really. How someone else dresses is none of your business. I suppose that is the simplest message you could take from my video response.

  • i totally agree.

  • EriNightwind -- thank you. I guess it's just too hard to understand the basics of dressing modestly in a culture like ours and in media like ours.

Thank you as well for explaining something so basic, ie Muslims (at least those in their right minds) don't want females to be forced to dress modestly, because that's dressing out of fear, not respect for themselves and God.

Funnily enough the controversial headscarf is an interpretation, it just says 'dress modestly' in the Qu'ran.

  • GREAT video. ANYBODY making a video like that should do research first.

  • where is my comments? why didn't you show them ...?!

  • I've been going through cancer treatments and other major life changes so I haven't had time to come back until today. Please be patient, I have a lot of comments to go through.

  • I don't know. YOu seem childish sometimes and at other times like you are a strong person. But as a personal choice I don't like people wearing Hijab.

  • beautiful video thank you so much :)

  • smart girl she known what shes talking about

  • good on ya / u condemn the bad concept of hijab thanks ........... u got knowledge

  • Alhamdulillah. You speak the truth.^_^ It is amazing how many people think that all Muslim women are forced to wear the hijab. I'm an American convert. My family is not Muslim and, neither is my husband or his family. I CHOSE to convert, on my own ,after we got married. And I CHOSE, with absolutely NO input from husband and *against* the wishes of my family, to wear the hijab b/c its what I feel is right. Keep up the good work! You may not be a Muslim, but you are still a Sister.^_^

  • thank you for posting this

  • great video

    great response

  • I really like your style. very interesting video

  • i think youre amazing =]

  • very good researcher for better life you are great person.

    1.question ?

    why say i will

  • I am an Orthodox Christian woman who wears hijab according to the bible, and I think you are a very intelligent woman and your response to this other girls video is very appropriate and peaceful. I agree with everything you say on here 100%. My mother in law is also pagan and I just want to say that I think we should all respect each others right to have our own beliefs, and the people who truly follow their respective religion tend to be this way. Blessings to you sister.

  • I really Respect

  • hi i am impressed by ur reponse video, i am muslim but what u said its totally right ... bcz we dont have to balm the religion we have to study our religion n understand it, Islam is a beautiful religion. n i respect all other relegions bcz Islam tought us that respect other religions too...thnk i like ur impressive video...

  • very well said sister....i m muslim ...being a muslim ...... i always try to be a good muslim ...you said so true...its just the connection between you and your GOD(ALLAH)....hijaab n all others come up with your connection to ALLAH....good answers...liked it...n please i request other make some research before making any vedios or comments...

  • Liked this video a lot...Thanks for explaining and pointing out few issues regarding the original video.

Keep up the work...Like how open minded u are...

  • Five stars. Well said.

  • You still covering your hair, which means you're half way there, no offense...

  • Peace

What an excellent video. :) I really enjoyed watching it. Thank you. :)

    -Safiyyah

  • This is an amazing video. It really says everyhting that i was thinking. Thank you.

  • all respects to you

    amazing video

    Thank You <3

  • That Video was soooo pathetic.

  • hijab is a crown in life

  • Thank you, im glad someone understands!

I really hope you become muslim because your really peacful and patient and actually take the time and understand our religion and not just see what the media and the net have to say.

Thank you so much everything in your video is right and thats a really good responce

  • you are awesome.

    i admire your confidence.

  • you r awsome

im muslim and i know that it is the right path

if you have any question about eslam just send for me a messege

    thank you so much ^^

  • Outstanding video. I joined in the middle of it when my wife was watching it. I loved what i heard and it made me feel the pride of humanity since some people still preach the true version of freedom, not the "my way or no way version" that unfortunately alot of people tend to mistakenly uphold. Hope to see more videos from you. 5 stars!

  • Thanks for defending muslims. You have a good grasp of Islam.

  • Hi. I used to be a pagan. I am glad that I found Jesus Christ. He is the way and the truth and the life, remeber? You were episcopal... I just know he is the way, he has saved me from so much. I am just glad I am not a pagan anymore, or practicing witchcraft. Jesus saved me from destruction... He's still up there Eri, give it a try.

    God bless you

  • All I have to say is thank you, really thank you. God bless you.

  • Hi, I just wanted to say that I really appreciated your video and that I admire you for wearing hijab without being a muslim especially considering all the hardships we can be faced to as hijabis. I say "although you are not a muslim" because despite it being required in other religions, it is no longer practiced within them...

It is always nice to have non muslims defending Islam your voice is probably more valued by fellow non muslims as you are not seen as biased so Thank you very much!

  • Very good reply. So smart woman... Unbelievable that you are not a muslim =(

And you said, sister, that you've read Qur'an. You couln't! Cause Qur'an is and Arabian Scripture. Literal translation of Qur'an is unacceptable, cause Arabian is the reechest language. You can understand Qur'an only with right teacher. You won't understnd It the way it is by yourself.

  • as a muslim woman i do like u response to her vedeo thank you

  • I would have to agree with it, I think it goes for men and women, and it's not necessarily that they cannot think for themselves, but its that muslim communities, like other religious communities, generally instill a forceful fear in people which can heavily influence their thoughts and ultimately their actions. This is especially effective if one is exposed to a particular ideology with high intensity so I think societal pressure does play a role which is probably what the girl meant to say.

  • I enjoyed watching your video, and agree with your statements. It's refreshing to see reason around a topic that I think often lacks it. I just wanted to share my opinion with you for what its worth. I think the Hijab should be a choice for women, and it probably often is. Referring to the "take off your hijab video", although you find her statement that muslim girls "have been brought up to think that way" an inaccurate statement which implies they can't think for themselves (as you put it)...

  • Good Video Sister. However I hope you come to Islam someday InshAllah!

  • so clear ! I love your answer.

  • Very good comments and ideas

  • May God bless, guard and help you.

  • dont get me wrong ... im saying .. that most ppl who think islam is bad violant ..etc have no idea about it .. thats y i always say "search" , but u did ..

so i always thought that anyone will understand islam that well .. will convert believing that islam is right .. so since u searched that much ?

u maybe even know more than me about islam ! lol idk .. so then y ?

dont get me wrong ... but i just couldn't resist not asking ...

but again .. i like the way u think .. ur just like me ! 5/5

  • thats one of the best videos i have seen on youtube about religion .. , one of the basics about islam is to think and search ... and u sure do that ... and i laughed so much at 3:20 .. ! lol even we r diffrant religions sex age and country .. i agree with u ..

and i just left her a comment to .. u shoudn't judge the religion from the ppl practicing it ...

    so yep i like ur vid .. , but i couldn't resist not to ask , u searched about islam,mohamed read qur'an .. y didn't u convert ?

  • But she looks like a palestinian female... or a lighter/reder version of that mexican female convert.

  • This is brilliant. Thank you for posting this.

  • This is a very nice video, especially coming from a non-muslim. It is nice to see an open-minded American. I am an American muslim convert. Thank you so much for this video. Do you know if she actually did anything for your challenge?

  • Thumbs up! :)

Let me just clarify that Prophet Mohamed was not the "founder" of Islam: He was the Messenger sent by Allah.

  • thank u... :)

  • i would love to know why you wear hijab!

i practice krishna conciousness however i was raised in a pagan family and have much respect for that religion.

i wear hijab, the first day i did it was because my face was cold, however, i went into the city wearing hijab and was treated with some very odd looks. so i continued to wear it the nexted day and it grew my empathy greatly for the treatment of women in hijab in my country by the public.

i now wear hijab because it looks great with a sari

  • If you watch my video 'An Introduction' I explain my reasons there.

Thank you for your kind comments.

  • How many non-Muslim women out there wear hijjab? If you do, why? I am also a non-Muslim woman, I have no religion and am a feminist. I always wear long skirts below the ankle as I feel that I am more respected and less a sex object to men if I cover up. I sometimes feel I would like to cover my head, but my husband and family (especially my daughter!) would go ballistic. Those non-Muslim women out there that cover their heads in public- what has been the reaction of your significant others?

  • I explain why I cover in my video 'An Introduction'.

My husband is fine with it, my parents don't really understand it. My friends are fine with it.

Thank you for your kind comments.

  • thanks a lot about your respect to islam you are such nice woman

i love this word you said and you are very right :IF YOU DONT TRY TO UNDERSATND YOU REALY DONT CARE about FREEDOM.

  • everything in your video is so well put!

  • COOL!! You're a non-Muslim hijabi, I'm a Muslim hijabi! :D

  • Job well done. I respect you just as much as i respect a god fearing women.

  • Wow. I love this response for so many reasons, I don't even know where to start! I commend your rational apporach to what is usually seen as such a touchy topic. It's clear that you care enough to put time and thought behind the opinions you formulate. You were able to articulate your thoughts in a way that did not offend. Thanks! I sincerely enjoyed this :)

  • But one thing is when you said prophet Muhammud pbuh is the "founder" that is wrong Islam means peacefully submitting to god and technically this has been since the start of time.

  • well done sister, that shows muslim sisters are still having soul

  • Sitting down and waiting with a Muslim woman, I told her about a woman that was completely covered in the supermarket. The museum woman using an illustration and asking me a question explained the covering up and it made sense. All I am saying is that I respect people's descion to dress that way. Women were and are treated badly and forced to do things all over the world, including America.--especially the American South

  • Many of you women look like Catholic nuns in that garb especially when you wear black.

  • God Bless u

  • In Islam it says that if someone kills ONE person it is like he/she had killed ALL OF MANKIND. This is what I live by respecting one another and caring for each other.

  • I am really impressed with how you replied and analyzed her video. I am a veiled Muslim and I am not obligated to wear hijab. I decided to do it by my own will. Thanks for your informative knowledge and understanding for the other.

  • thankyou ! an average teenager or an adult couldnt have said it better

  • That was a really good reply!

After seeing the video i was insanely angry. I am Muslim and i wear the hijab and no body told me to wear it. I wore it by myself and i was certainly not forced. I strongly agree with the video being a hypocracy.
