To be honest with you I it won't bother me if they cast Jacqui Ainsley and let her use her British accent. Her voice is sexy and since they never said where he character originated from it makes it easier to make slight changers to her character. And i would rather her keep her blonde hair instead of short and black cause it may have looked good in the game but it might not look well on live footage.

Acting in this game is top notch, I don't freakin' care about the accents and stuff (there are even WORST works in movies); the intention, the efforts for creating life inside a ton of 3D and polygons, that's what counts here. Anyone who knows even a little bit about acting will agree. Special mention to the great (and much criticized) Leon Ockenden, a really complete and awesome actor... and Carter Blake's one too. Scott Shelby's is an obvious 10/10.

It was an awesome game but the voice acting sucked. Shelby Scott was the best one though. All of the children were terrible, the way people said origami was crazy (or-eh-gay-me for one example) The lady with Shelby was aweful, the creeper at the motel, just ....fuck.

Heavy rain's weakest feature, the voice acting. The way the characters have a conversation is obviously scripted. Unlike games like FFXIII They sound like they wer really having a conversation.

Especially for Lauren, even in that first Heavy Rain video they put out. The faked American accents bothered me the entire time, except for Shelby. I had no problem with Shelby's voice at all. Not at all (I'm one myself). Accents are a handy skill to have, but not a prerequisite at all. In fact, most productions ask that you avoid using an accent unless it's absolutely necessary. If you do have to use one, the pressure is on to make it damn perfect, though.
