This was a TERRIBLE staging of this song! The director should have been shot. The constant walking around and the break in the middle were so distracting and pointless. And to break in the middle just so he could appear on a staircase?!! This should be an intensely reflective, life changing moment - instead it felt like "Singing In The Rain."
Good job, Really, Some of the critiques are very constructive and correct, in my opinion. Too much walking. Singing the way you did while doing that is commendable!!notes could have been equally as strong asothers.Pronunciation problem not range, I think. Seen this show on Bway 5 times with different actors playing the part. They aren't moving much (for a reason). I had a choreographer want me to to grapevines across the stage while belting D's. I told her, "no way". LOL!
Good. I would lighten up the mid range throughout the entire song so that all of the notes would have the same timbre. The high notes were a little more strident and harsh sounding than your lower notes.
Good song and well done imo. But being the stage crew junkie I am. Way over use of the rotating stage. Makes your actors life harder because its more to memorize in movement ques. Also things like the stairs scene you can start to make some audience members motion sick or cause vertigo with them, which will cause them to disconnect from whats going on and loose the power of the performance.
very nice now i must say....... Didnt quiet get the rotating stairs though!!!!!!!!!!! Overall though, As a performer, I must say it was very enjoyable and entertaining......... nice job
ITS MOMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not momant!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the Mo-mant' is what hes saying ,hes over pronucating...........its quite common so it isnt so bad but is really annoying , good singer apart from that :) btw i know my spelling is atrotious so dont bother hating :)
Very Well done!!!!!!!!! Only thing i didn't like was that akward instrumental section/vamp for the stairs to come on. But vocally its amazing!!!!! Well Done!!! Great final note!
this is brilliant, my son played the lead part in jekyl in his final year of an HND in musical theatre last year and when he sang this song i was so emotional its a night i will never forget as long as i live, i just love this song so much, well done x
This is another interesting one. Did the stage rotate all throughout the show? It seems a bit distracting after a while, but works well for one or two songs. The park was different, but not a bad choice by the director.
Great voice!!! Work on your support of those higher notes a little. I like the set but I think the revolving stage distracted from the intensity of the song. None the less a wonderful performance!!!
Good singing... not enough emotion... interesting set - I'm not sure what the benefit was of a revolving set, though. All in all, it was a solid singing performance.
Apart from some slip up's on the words, it is an interesting way to perform it...not sure tho that the walk around the park effect was powerful enough....
i liked the voice ... but the performance didnt touch me very much... in my opinion there was not enought feeling... i think the acting aspect needs to be improved a litte ;-)

You know, I'm just not satisfied with this performance... I mean, time was all off, sharp and flat all over the place, the staging was cool for sure, but the performance wasn't so fantastic, just take another look at your music.
Great voice, just watch your vowels on words like "my final TEst" and "SECond best" and "MoMEnt" It sounds like "TAst", "SAcond" and "MomANT". The notes are easier to hit if you sing the vowel of the actual word instead of using "ah". Good work though, keep at it.
That's cool! I like how it spins, because it makes it look like you're walking and the set peices are like, different lamposts and such. 'Tis cool. ~Amiko
I thought you were great. I love your voice. I didn't like the scene change either but that wasn't your fault. I think that kept you from getting into the song as much as you could have, but don't get me wrong your version is one of the best i've seen here.
You're very talented. I'm doing this song in a showcase and can understand how difficult the notes can be to hit. Isn't a fun song to do?
The rotating stage was out of place for this one for my taste. It pulled focus from you. That's a shame because this song leaves so much room for emotion to come through. This song should show how excited Jekyll is to finally do the experiment; not technicalities.
Although the staging/directorial choices made were off, you were pretty good. Nicely done.
Wonderful performance. Makes me want to come out of retirement and get back on the boards. Where was this production? Gives me great inspiration for our part of Vancouver Island. Yes, maybe I will un-retire. I wish you had more videos, it is a pleasure to listen to you.
Too much use of the revolving stage. Alright, we know you have it. Hard to concentrate when all i see is Jekyll walking. Poor stage technique. Good singing though.
this is amazing but i have to say as a singer myself you shouldnt sing that powerfuly until the climax of the song i have the same problem but apart from that i think your really good.
I think what he mean is that this song is suppose to build up to a big krishendo, but that can't be done if the singer sings for full power from the beginning, it have to be build slowly up to get the full potienuel of this song
This set is worthy of ... Monty Python's Flying Circus... what the hey?

Actually, he only got 1 word wrong ("greatest" instead of "sweetest"). The first two verses were switched, but that was clearly deliberate.
