What about the hop-up? Do you have to adjust it first?

@TheRdjj4 Make sure your hop-up is turned all the way off or down however you call it.. if not you could damage it, also its good to take the cleaning rod and do the same thing as he did with the barrel only do it for your magazines too. For extra smooth feeding, you don't have to do that as much as you do the regular cleaning though.

@TheRdjj4 ok, i think i know what you did, before sticking that rod down ur barrel(no pun intended) you might have not set the hopup down to normal.

otherwise, i highly doubt it should be broken when you get it. the salesman would always test it before selling it, just to keep all the specs clear

@SovietSpetznaz no, you might have to disasemble the gun and remove the barrel. if you try to use the unjamming part of the rod to take it out while the gun is still intact. you might head to bigger problems, like having something cogested into the gas tube.

whatever gun you have, theres always instructional videos to help you disasemble the gun.

but when in doubt, call the salesman

Can you use oil to grease your bolt on a sniper airsoft gun?

@nicknguyie Use 100% Silicone and pull the bolt all the way back and use a straw nozzle, spray a strip on the visible parts of the bolt and work it in a few times then shoot. Make sure the clip is out and theres not already a bb in the chamber.

@tonewipera no, use silicon lubricant in a spray can only, because other oils are corrosive to the metals used in airsoft guns that are of a lesser quality than those used in real weapons (i.e. zinc vs. steel or aluminum)

Yes, the first 100 shots or so may be a little off. The Hop Up should have been "OFF", so you will also have to readjuct that after cleaning/lube.

It has to be 100% silicon based otherwise it wil damage the internals of your gun.

You can use any brand of silicone oil or lube, always check though that it is safe for use on rubber and plastics. Which it should be.

best way to clean is soak a clean cigarette filter in silicone oil, then push down the barrel then fire it back out. then get another clean filter and do the same, do it 2 or 3 times

And just a comment on this video...umm...THe reason I wouldnt want to use toilet paper to clean the inside of your barrel...IS that toilet paper could rip easily and possibly jam your gun...

No. Airsoft guns gun on either a spring, gas, or electricity. They shoot 6mm plastic pellets. Most guns shoot semi and full auto. Pistols, generally only shoot semi. Just watch some airsoft videos. Crazy Dutch Airsoft is a good one.

Use the cleaning rod and a cloth as shown in the video and as mentioned in the manual. A pipe cleaner will not ruin it (unless you screw up), but it will also not clean it.

Sorry, I forgot to add this. Use a clean cotton cloth (cut it down until it fits) and put it through the eye of the cleaning rod. Do NOT use toilet paper^. You run heavy risk of leaving some paper behind in the barrel, or in the hop up.

No, Never use WD-40 it will wear out your rubber parts on your gun faster and ultimately ruin it. ONLY USE SILICON BASED OILS! 100% if you can.

dust bullets with lil specs of dirt and when u do that it isends gun power velocity and accuracy but best of all it exstends life (gun life). same with airgun but with that u gotta also but some weird grease on all moving parts.

Nooo!! You NEVER use Lube in your inner barrel.. Even if it is Silicon oil.. When the bbs come into contact with the barrel, Its not ment to have lube on the bbs.. Its also bad for your Hop-up and useually leads to inaccurate shots and inconsistancy..

You can use silicone inside your barrel but its also explained in the video that you wipe it down with several dry pieces afterward.

Also silicone is good for the hop up rubber because it keeps it from drying out and cracking.
