If I'm not mistaken, Pandora has a feature where you can dislike a song and have it removed from your playlist and if enough songs are rejected with a similar "genome" they all get removed. I notice you haven't updated your wordcount since the day this vid was posted. I hope that means you've been too busy writing to post updates.
@gamutman embarrassingly I have slowed down.... life took over. I am not the master of my days at the moment...hopefully I will shift it back....on the weekend. I may not make the goal. If it looks like I won't I am thinking of giving myself to the end of december. Sad I know. How are you doing?
@CityzenJane I'm pretty much on track. have the day off so I'm writing two chapters today which should put me well over the word count and keep me on track. Interestingly, I also keep Pandora running while writing. I have a Buddy Guy channel that seems to supply a great variety of classic blues. I don't think I've heard the same song twice yet, and haven't had to dislike anything.
@gamutman Very cool! The music I really want is pretty specific and weird and if it's the right kind of stuff it's great --- but occassionally Pandora slips in some really crappy new age garbage. This kills my flow like an anvil being dropped on my head.
@2bsirius Oh cool! mail me your id - we can be writing buddies...you might be a really good one - in that I think you could help me not write stupid things!
Maybe I should start using those index cards. That's a good idea. I just read "First Blood," the book the "Rambo" movie was originally based on. I read it because my characters, if left to their own accord, will, at all costs, avoid conflict. Wimps. So I try and get them to engage in dangerous acts (without killing them).
