Sometimes I think the MB is a crapshoot during manufacturing - it's like, some of the units turn out fine and some are defective. I read lots of reviews that say it's a great thing to have, while other people say it's not worth the box it comes in.

The people who write bad reviews tend to be people who purchased it truly expecting it to take care of all of their kitchen needs, when it's a machine best suited for blending and juicing than chopping and dicing. The other half of them use the wrong blade for blending and overpack it with ice, causing it to break. Its a small, personal machine intended for use for 1-2 people, and if you recognize that and treat it as such it'll be well worth the $60

Yeah so far so good....Lucky for him! I only bought it to make protein shakes and I DEFINATLY wouldn't go chopping things up in it as the teeth on the drive shaft grind away VERY easily. I defrost my banana first in the mic too cos I reckon it would definatly burn out in no time with it still frozen coz even with just milk and protein powder it give off this burning motor smell! But apart from that it's a brilliant idea. Just wish it was better quality. But my HARRASSMENT threat still stands!!

I absolutely love my magic bullet! Yes, I agree that it does not work like the advertisement says and chopping onions in the thing is a nightmare. It is, however, great for many other things. I use it mostly to make pasta sauces as I am obsessed with italian food. I also grind cheese. coffee, carrots celery and much more with it. It makes my life easier in the kitchen. Have had it for 2 years now and the blades still work great. Going to get the blender and juicer attachment too.

I am a profesional chef and I absolutly loved my older magic bullet till it died. Today I baught the new prof series that has 40% more power and a larger mouth allowing for a better chop. I cannot wait to get it in the mail and start to use it again. My sauces Rock using this machine. Everyone should get one. Those who have trouble with it leaking most likely fail to tighten the lid or there bullet is defective.

I have tried my Magic Bullet Express many times. Every time it has leaked to the point that whatever is in there winds up in the machine and on the counter and floor.

I know I am attaching the lid correctly and tightly. I have checked that every time after the first flood. I've even tried it with just water, shaking the heck out of the cup with the blades screwed on. It didn't leak a drop until I attached it to the base. Then, the flood.

It took him over 30 seconds which isn't that long, I realise. But compare this time to the infomercials. If that was the full sized cup with 6 ice cubes, some frozen fruit and some yogurt, it would take a hell of a lot longer. I know this from experience.

Anywho, I called them up, ranted, and got a free one in the mail; Magic Bullet#2. I still have this one to the day but I have to tell you, it's nothing like what they say it is. It takes forever to blend things and murcielago06gt even proved it when he was simply trying to blend 3 ice cubes.

And let me tell you my story. The FIRST Magic bullet we bought lasted about a month until one lovely evening when I was craving a strawberry-banana smoothie. I got out the ingredients, mixed it all up, and after 10 minutes, it was finally done. I was so hungry by then that I didn't even bother washing the blade, I just started drinking. SURPRISE! A bloody blade was situated between my lips. Yes, on of the blades had fallen off. Lawsuit? I'm too lazy.

Little did I know at the time that this video existed. It's an obvious attempt at making a good quality but purposely amateur review. The strange problem it has is that there was obviously effort put into it, more than the average YouTube user would .. but didn't have any food to use as the demonstration. "Snow" ?

Thank you for your fine compliment. I know it sucks. After I watched it several times and had people complain to me how bad it is, I decided to leave it on there. I recorded it 15 minutes after my camcorder came in the mail, and this was the 2nd take. Nothing written down or anything, everything was off the top of my head. I used ice cubes because they are harder to chop than your average food.

it hardly gets any juice, using the juicer it gets into a liquidy sludge in the center of the juicer, so it doesnt get out into the juice!

Yea, it's a little loud. I don't really let that bother me, though. I got a reletivly big house (4,000 sqft), and the kitchen borders the living room, which has an 18 foot ceiling, so it spreads out the sound pretty well, but it unfortunatly can be heard just about everywhere too!

Yea, they're granite. If you notice, the wall between the counter and the cabinets is also granite. All of the appliances are high-end and stainless steel, too. Yea, pretty expensive kitchen. Just had to make that "perfect cooking atmosphere".

Most of the negative reviews are concerning the durability of the base, specifically the clear plastic gear. A lot of people have had it break. Other than that it's probly user error. We just bought one tonight. We will use it primarily for smoothies so I don't see it being a problem for us.
