Lucia Micarelli ... and from the 2nd row last November in Kansas City she was great. 22 year old prodigy. Most exellent show. And a nice way to spice up the show when no one wants to take the time to record and rehearse at this point. And no, the clip does not do the show justice.
uh...how come nobody told me about tull playing T.O in 2006?? i seen them a few years back at the molson amphitheatre..the greatest band on earth perfect and diverse
Over the years Anderson has said complementary things about Zep actually whereas I've read comments by Page, Plant, and Jones who all said disparaging things about Tull/and or Ian. :(
And perhaps this (being complementary towards one's detractors) is the mark of being a true man. I've been impressed with Ian's honesty in all the interviews I've read of his...
Saw this show when the tour hit L.A. last Spring... Micarelli led them into a little "Bohemian Rhapsody" too... actually, they were great covers. Martin Barre was amazing on Kashmir. You've got to admire the way Anderson keeps reinventing this band
Long time Tull fan. Saw Ian, this band with a 22pc orch. last night @ Wolf Trap... a few great tunes.. she's awsome on violin... syn drums were way too overdriven... Ian's mike was almost off... the sound man fucked up the rest...
...you really think this little poor quality clip reprsents the sound quality in person. wow. Im sure it sounded just fine if you were there. I hate when people diss on sound quality, when it is actually the recording quality that sucks.
Listen JuJu, can you read? I saw this exact act a few weeks after this concert at Wolf Trap. Do you know what that is pea brain? Another words, I was there fuckhead! I love Tull but the WT soundman fucked up the concert!
I am surprised that they would do anything by Led Zeppelin, Seeing that on the first US tour they did together (1969-1970??)that Robert Plant refered to them as "Jethro DULL"
I saw Jethro Tull live yesterday, and the violin girl there was Ann Marie Calhoun. Cant really tell if that's her in this vid, but kindda looks like her. She was amazing, as well as Ian and Martin! :D
crappy clip

I remember reading a story in Life magazine where Ian said "We could be as big as Led Zeppelin but I don't want to" this was around 1970.

Quite frankly, I don't think they care anymore, 35 years and millions of albums later. Both bands.
Squonk 5 years ago
Maybe they did it as a joke. I don't see Robert Plant doing any Tull songs

You must have read Hammer of the Gods. Yep, there was no love lost between Tull and Zep dating back to that tour.
