This is Hot Melt Glue. I used it to attach the extension. It is easy to break away when icy cold. Unfortunately I had to put a big load onto the tube to get it fixed.

First i wanted to make it nice and remove the "sexy look". Since many comments were posted in that direction, i left it that way.
