If a player can't see a 100 ft. BRIGHT yellow golf cart flled with harmless french horns and sheet music he doesn't deserve to catch a little brown football. I should know, I played clarinet for 3 years in high school (including a first place finish in regionals) which by the way can be just as difficult as playing football if done correctly.
@jrhythm98: You are pretty ignorant. The players focus was on doing his job catching the ball, not on what was around him. Marshall game management failed there. Bands need to keep their crap out of the way until play is over. B/c during football games, its about the football team, not band geeks.
@jrhythm98 It's called "concentration". Just like you're looking for your little notes on the page, his mind is all on the football... don't be mad because the band was stupid.
its the fact of the matter though the cart shouldnt have been there in the first place in the middle of a game or at least not that close to the field. im not blaming anyone but it was definitely an accident that coulda been avoided
So, would it have been the cheerleaders fault if he had run into them and broken his leg? The stadium is too small, and I'm sure the band had permission to put their stuff there. Being on an equipment crew for band, we get orders on where to place our equipment from the athletic department. It's not the bands fault... Why don't you start blaming the band when your team loses too.
fucking band and their stupid equipment and transport wagons. pardon the pun, but i don't think anybody would have blamed the houston player if he'd "jumped on the bandwagon"
wow.. first of all number 17 had his eyes off the ball the whole time because no way he could jump outta the way that good. nice jump btw. and sue the hell outta the stadium officials cause there should be nothing for 15ft beyond endzone.
The player would arraign the owner or the people who organize the stadium. This is a tremendous irresponsibility leaving those wagons there, on the side of the field. Players can go out of the lawn at any time. This was an accident that could have been avoided if the organizers were more careful.
