I have used piercing guns on my ears and never got infected. It's called cleaning your ear everyday with sea salt and good old soap and water in the shower. You did a good job, but, I could see your frustration in your face. I probably have had that same look at different piercing times too, lol. Good job!

I just pierced mine a couple of days ago and i have to say, your way is soo much more difficult! I bought sewing needles and gauged it first to get the hole big enough then i just stuck it in, didn't bleed or hurt  but that's just me.

Dude, the reason you had so much trouble was because you start an industrial with 2 seperate piercings (properly lined up obviously). Then when they are healed you can put your Scaffold bar in. Mine was done wrong so every morning for 4 weeks i woke up with blood EVERYWHERE.

improperly placed - if you like it that's fine, it's your ear, but don't make it look like it's a good idea to do this at home. $10 is not enough for quality supplies that won't damage your ears and get infected, you're lucky if yours didn't, and cartilage piercings are dangerous to do at home.
