  • The title isn't disrespectful. It's a compliment if anything. Robots are cold killing machines. Robots are efficient. Robots are strong. Robots show no weakness or emotion, only true discipline. Robots are superhuman.

I actually wish somebody would say I did something like a fucking robot.

  • BTW this video is fucking retarded. They're not talking like robots. THEY ARE ROBOTS! Robots are powerful, efficient and perfect, which is what these guys are supposed to be like.

  • THEY ARE WAITING FOR YOU GORDON IN THE TEST CHAMBER

  • I am in honor guard at the fire dept. I get talked to and I don't take offense to it. It's part of the military. And if he didn't like it, he shouldn't have watched it. Lol that's my perspective.

  • Do you suck dicks? are you a peanner puffer?

  • change the fucking title.. its how there suppose to talk..

  • Firefightergirl60 he's lieing he's not a guard I checked and I have to now this for rotc

  • He is requiered to talk like that shit head

  • then change the title.

  • "And in the blue corner" DING!

  • ---wakawakaflaka

Are u really a guard? I mean if u are u greatly appreciate what u are doing. I have 5 major family members in service.

  • Hey Uh LUCASLOVERS23 how did you go from 12 years old to 17 years old from april 27 to Janurary 27. Thats 4 years. Not trolling just pointing out the facts

  • EVERYONE from ALL branches of the military respect the Sentinels. Civilians SHOULD have the decency to do the same!

  • how can 60 dislike this. . .. what a sad world we live in. . .SMH

  • this guy sounds awesome.. like a narrator :)

  • The OP should be hit.

  • I could've sworn that was someone else talking through I microphone or something...No offense to the Army. I through they had that recorded or something, and when it was time it just played. It sounded way to much like a robot or something for it to be the guard. I REPEAT, NO OFFENSE TO THE ARMY, I AM JUST STATING AN OPINION!

  • Wow people have no sense of humor anymore.

  • @brizzurker1984 When it comes to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers there is no room for humor at all. This is a an extremely formal memorial committed to the fact that our fallen heroes gave their all in the name of American forever living in a free nation.

  • @ANGELBLU2042

Look I understand that, I do more than most I was Airbourne Cavalry, recon. I get it why noise isn't tollerated AT the tomb. What I don't understand is self righteous ass-whipes who have never went anywhere in defense of anything (I'm not talking about you im talking about the idiots that freaked out and cussed the kid who posted this video) get all defensive and act like morons and THE authority on what one is aloud to giggle at. It's a big picture thing.

  • The birds are so noisy! The Honor Guards should also scream at them just like they did to the giggling audience.

  • This video's title shows no disrespect. I was part of the 3rd infantry regiment and one of my groomsman is a Sentinel. Keep the title kid and everyone else, DO PUSH-UPS!

  • When do they have, " The changing of the cattle guard?"

  • What a waste of tax payer's money!

  • @anaclet I disagree to the fullest!

  • @RobChrise04 Maybe you are right. With the country falling into pieces maybe it is a good idea to keep this ridiculous useless so called ceremony. It might serve to guard the remains of the USA. Yet I doubt that in a few years there will be any tax payers' money left to pay for it.

  • @anaclet Your right, because disbanding the old guard will solve all of our tax problems. This whole tea party "lets cut taxes thing" has gone a little too far. This has been a proud tradition of honoring the fallen of war and I think its UnAmerican to arbitrarily disband a proud (relatively cost effective) ceremony to save a few dimes of taxpayer money that you probably didn't contribute a whole lot to in the first place.

  • @RobChrise04 How do you dare?! I've paid tons of dollars in taxes for the Government and the wars I never asked for. It is high time the Government starts cutting useless expenses and this ridiculous robot like, Michael Jackson mimmicks is a good start. UnAmerican my ass!

  • @anaclet I'm sure you paid a lot of taxes. Tomb Guards?! How much money would that save the american people....how much more of an impact do those guards and what they do have on the visitors at arlington. What an example of solemness to pass on. Lets just bulldoze arlington and build businesses there! Thats a great idea! People like you, who would be ok with a part of our culture like the tomb of the unknown soldier being dispanded to save money, makes me sick to my stomach.

  • @RobChrise04 Then take a pill for your stomach. You give me impression that you don't know what is going on in America. The country has gone bankrupt. The question is not if but when it is going to be officially anounced. No matter all the taxes we've been paying all those years, the politicians of Washington have wasted it all. And a lot of that money went to those false wars, like the invasion of Iraq and the Abu Ghraib. And yeah, making arlington into a parking lot may be a very good idea.

  • @anaclet What in the ploop is wrong with you, comparing the guard to Michael Jackson? Those guards are there as a commitment to retaining the dignity of the fallen heros who gave their all, as a living example to always honor the cost of freedom, so we never break our guard and allow it to faulter. It's worth it to pay the standard salaries for these few committed men to guard the tomb. They refuse to ever leave their post in bad weather, 24/7. I'm a veteran. It's worth it!

  • @ANGELBLU2042 Well just take a look at their movements and you'll see how much alike they are to the late Michael Jackson's dance, specially in the musical 'I'm bad'. The only difference is that Jackson did it way better. As far as the rest of your comment, it sounds like brainwash, the usual clichés. What America must understand is that the country has gone bankrupt and that the era of useless spending has come to an end.

  • Comment removed

  • @camdawg24 Well just take a look at their movements and you'll see how much alike they are to the late Michael Jackson's dance, specially in the musical 'I'm bad'. The only difference is that Jackson did it way better. And as far as hell, no, I'm not going there because it does not exist. Differently from you, I don't believe in wichraft.

  • They must be loud and they must enunciate what they say, so everyone can hear them. And, yes, he does sound like a robot. They all do.

  • @LUCASLOVER23 if youposted this when you were 12 4 years past making you 16

  • @GodlyGardevoir Unless his birthday is earlier in the year than April?

  • it's sergeant hartman!

  • Beep boop....beep.

  • Honestly people? I posted this when I was 12. I'm 17 now. I had respect for them then as I still do now. I don't even know why I'm bothering commenting this. It's a title. If I really had the intention to "diss" the army don't you think it would be a bit rather more extreme than this? Disregarding the fact that I actually attended this which shows my respect. Thank you for those who are understanding.

  • @LUCASLOVER23 Is it as amazing in real life as it is on video? I would love to attend a CotG ceremony, but Florida school systems don't have the money to pay for a trip to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers. I very much respect you for attending this, I'm 14 now, a freshman, in Army JROTC but I'm enlisting in Air Force.

  • @LUCASLOVER23 you need to enlist, then talk about military traditions

  • @LUCASLOVER23 You was 12 when you posted that!? lol Dude I didn't even own a computer till I was 30!!! lol

  • @LUCASLOVER23 i see your point. it is understandable for a child to make an honest mistake although it isnt a direct insult. only if people take it that way it is

  • @LUCASLOVER23 you're pretty fucking stupid aren't you?

  • @LUCASLOVER23 i completely understand you and dont think you disrespect anybody...but how do you go from 12 to 17 from 2007 to 2011? o.0

  • @AngelMeow10 He probably turned thirteen that year, in 2007.

  • @LUCASLOVER23

    I'm very disappointed.

  • All you haters... We liberated Europe twice... Ask South Korea if they are happy we jumped in to stop the invasion from the North. I'm not saying we're perfect, but we've done some good work.

  • Its precisive speech thats all.

  • I am a guard of the tomb of the unknow soldier.

  • As a veteran I think you need to be shipped over seas and get a taste of what i seen. You prolly thought it was funny the way they talk. This is there job the will always be guarding the unknown and they do it with respect which is something you do not have.

  • He is the one protecting your right to lucaslvove twink...I think Hobama talks more like a robot ya know to the fowlks out there.

  • @andyli916: you obviously don't have much to do with your free time. Soldiers get shot at and blown up on a daily basis. You really think that our skin is so thin that we'd get insulted at a guy making a harmless observation to title a video? Find a hobby.

  • @jarez305 ok Jarez now u can shut up with the insults i think we get ur point we understand i u feel but damn if u harp on the ppl that tell lucaslover bad things like they harped on him/her k just a head up

  • @ginger448211 Seriously? I got on ONE guy who acted like douche, and now I'm harping on people? Have you bothered scrolling down to see all the nonsense being written? All I said was he needs to find something to do with his free time. I even went on to explain why most soldiers don't find this title offensive. It's not like I was layering on insults with no basis just to piss someone off. Here's a heads up for you, if you don't have anything constructive to contribute to a convo, stay out of it

  • I demand to change the title of this video for the respect of all soldiers.

  • @andyli916 so if he thinks he talks like a robot, its not a big deal he actually went to watch the changing of the guard he clearly has plenty of respect for soldiers

  • i think he was being very clear so everyone could hear especially if some dickhead decided to talk loudly so he would have every reason to yell at them..wouldnt blame him either. thank you to the servicemen and women

  • Hello all. I did two tours with TOG. This is the way the COR is taught to address the spectators. Every COR uses the same pattern of the inflection of their address. It is a position that commands the utmost respect! The person who gave this vid the title is a little on the ignorant side.

  • I will soon be a part of the few women. I will serve beside my brothers and sisters who are thinking of joining the military. Howeve I am. And nothing will change my decision.

  • I saw the ceremony on a trip with my graduating class. I cried when I saw this take place mostly because of how proud I am of those who protects us and our fallen soldiers.

  • That looks like the same guy I saw when I visited there!!!

  • This was such a nice and amazing thing to actually witness

  • This voice is referred to as Command Voice. It is articulate, crisp, and understandable when all hell is breaking loose. Don't feel too bad about those who don't get it. I'm a Vet as was my father and his. We swore to protect and defend the rights of even those that "don't get it".

God Bless the American Soldier. We've liberated continents and never kept more ground then was required to bury our fallen.

  • @toyotaguyjeff Hey Mr Patriot?......"Toyota Guy"...? Yeah, God bless America. Jolly good show and all that rot. Eh, what?

  • @toyotaguyjeff ..Why dont you invase another innocent country you military whore!!!!

  • @evilzpowers shut the fuck up u dick if u dont want a military go get a gun and see who has a better shot u or a marine sharpshooter u stupid fuck

  • @ginger448211 you need some serious help, I will pray for you.

  • @toyotaguyjeff thank you i am a gaured of the tomb of the unknown soldier thank you for your service.

  • @toyotaguyjeff thank you i am a guard of the tomb of the unknown soldier thank you for your service.

  • @toyotaguyjeff >We've liberated continents

Oh man, is that a new way of saying "attacked countries which have provoked no war"? I kind of like it, it sounds better than slaughtering people.

  • @Perseankkuri Yes because throughout history, war is fought by us for no reason whatsoever. In fact, North Korea wasn't murdering thousands in South Korea. The Japanese where not taking over all of Asia. In fact, insurgents are nice people, and they would love to hear your opinion. But thats right, your full of shit. Every war this nation has ever fought has been justified. No land was ever taken, and many times, the victim of their own stupidity to provoke a nation as this, recieves aid. Fact.

  • hey man this is truly disrespectful to my fallen brothers please change the title and as for those who dont understand the professionalism behind the way he speaks how bout you do something for your country instead of make fun of it.

  • Theres metal on the bottom of their shoes...thats how they click everytime they turn.

  • we need a guard at grants tomb in manhattan to get those crack heads from dessicrating it.

  • This is disrespectful to soldiers.

  • Diction and Understanding is foremost to the Old Guard Regiment. If it sounds

a little different it is done so just so each person clearly hears the message

being said. These soldiers practice this speech for hours to get the meaning

and the message just right. It is an Honor to serve with the Old Guard amoungst

    the Gardens of Stone.

  • do they have to clack there feet evertime they turn?

  • @xXNationsNightmareXx yes we have to it is recomended

  • Like many people the author of this has no idea about the military. The author should get a brain.

  • Oh god I was 12 years old shit

  • @LUCASLOVER23 fokken lol all of the shit you're getting for this

  • and as for the discussion below about who lies in the Tomb of the Unknowns, It's the unidentified remains of WWI, WWII, and Korea. There used to be the remains of an unknown Vietnam soldier, but he was identified in 1998 and removed. It's home to ANY unidentified remains. If we have a casualty in Iraq or Afaghanistan tomorrow, he/she will be laid to rest in this tomb. The only reason you don't see this is because of DNA testing, so it's unlikely to have an unknown. hope this helps

  • so is it like an underground cemetery or something?

    honest question....ive ALWAYS wondered that...

like if they find an arm...do they just put it in a box?

    sorry if i seem ignorant

  • @KBDB91 no like this is for the soldiers in different wars that are unknown

  • Its just a large tomb that has the unidentified remains of soldiers. And no, its not underground.

  • Ok, some people really are taking this too seriously. the person who posted it thinks the sergeant of the guard talks like a robot. people made the same comment about me when I was a drill sergeant. it's not disrespectful, the person is just stating an opinion. I know some sergeants who pride themselves of that talent. (myself included) lay off the guy who posted this. the fact that he attended the ceremony says enough about his level of respect.

  • @jarez305 i went to it in june lots of ppl got yelled at for talking.

  • ok...?

  • @jarez305 whhooopppssss rong person

  • @jarez305 Yeah in Britain the officers take the piss out of the sergeants for talking rough and in common accents, and the sergeants out of us for talking like toffs, but there's no lack of respect between any of us...

  • @jarez305 How was Your time in the Army? Did you like it?

  • @jarez305 amen brotha amen...

  • @jarez305 agreed fully. Drill Sergeant Baltimore sounded like the default "Fred" voice, but he remains to this day, one of the people who I feel shaped my character. Give the kid a break. This he may one day defend (jarez will get that one, I'm sure).

  • @styme33 This he'll defend but that he won't? WTF? We should call the Marines, they'll defend EVERYTHING! lol

  • Hey Lucaslover...you should change the title of this video and at the same time show respect for our soldiers...

  • Yes. I've seen it. And I've see something like that happen when I was visiting the Tomb of the Unknown. The Guards will present their rifle and take alert. If you ever drop a water bottle past the post, leave it there. The soldiers guarding their post take their job seriously. Out side of guarding the post, they have taken a oath not to Curse or drink alcohol. If they get caught, they are strip of their duty.

    Hooah.

  • its actually not true about the alcohol and the cursing. but yeah they are some serious dudes

  • @WVWGCAPCadetLunsford - Actually, the oath you refer to is not true. Most of that email which has been floating around for over a decade is false. But ... they DO take their duty very seriously.

  • @ LUCASLOVER23 -

I don't like how you named this video. He is not talking like a robot, he is pronunciating his words. Please have respect for our soldiers.

  • I agree with you the guy who posted it is stupid

  • No the soldiers are from ww1 and ww2 and korea

  • No its not the unknown Soldier Is anyone Who cant Be identified

  • if anybody know.. please tell me...

WHO IS THAT UNKNOWN SOLDIER... WAS THAT SOLDIER DIED IN ANY IED.. OR BOMB ATTACK.

  • whatever you do don't ask that to the asshole apsscinc

  • theres actually a few soldiers buried there theyre men that have dies in the past few wars that were never identified

  • I guess the 'Unknown Soldier' Represnts all soldier who have fallen in combat and could not be identified or found. correct me if im wrong. We have something similar in australia, minus the guards.

  • The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a Memorial of those who died in past and recent wars. Guarding it is taken serious. The soldiers who guard the memorial have respect for their fallen Comrades and will protect their grave to the death.

  • hooray i got 85,000th view

  • You should remove or retitle this video. You have the freedom to post it because of men like the one you're poking fun at.

  • ok theres a bunch of vids of the tomb of the uknown soldier. someone wanna explain to me what the "unknown soldier" is. please.

  • there are 4 unkown soldiers buried there. One from WWI, one from WWII, one from Vietnam, and one from Korea.

  • actually, there's 3. The one from vietnam was identified.

  • That is incorrect.

  • Remains from unidentified American soldiers from WWI, WWII, and the Korean War were selected to represent all of the unknowns who lay in unmarked graves across the globe. They also represent all of the American military personnel who went off to war and and gave their lives for their country. There used to be an unknown from Vietnam, but through DNA testing, his remains were identified and removed from the Tomb of the Unknowns.

  • @bunbeater42

I can't believe there is actually an American living in this country that doesn't know what the "Unknown Soldier" is?!?!

  • wow that comment is even more studpid than MY OWM comment. i'll admit mines kinda dumb but yours is completely retarted!!! u better believe that there isn't just "ONE" american that doesn't know that. at least i know of its existence i can guarantee u, u could ask and i'll literally bet money that a third of kids and young adults have never even heard of it.

  • You're letting your intelligence show with words like studpid, OWM, mines, retarted, but then again you don't know what the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is, so I rest my case. I'll get you a dictionary for Christmas, idiothole...

  • O.K. first of all intelligence has nothing to do with grammar. and excuse me that i don't go back and revise on worthless stuff and assholes like YOURSELF. still, way to cover up the original argument about I'M not the ONLY American that doesn't know about the tomb! look through all the comments. i think that proves my case still. not everyone knows what it is.

  • we should all respect this video because if these unknown soldiers were not unknown we might have not had freedom we hould RESPECT THOSE WHO FOUGHT AND DIES FOR US AS WELL AS THESE UNKNOWN SOLDIERS U PEOPLE DONT EVEN CARE ALL THIS VID IS ABOUT IS A NORMAL SOLDIER WHOS TALKIN LIKE A ROBOT THAT I THINK IS NORMAL .FAMILIES CANT GO TO A GRAVE SITE TO TALK TO THEM. THEY CANT PLEED AND TALK TO THEIR LOVED ONES. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS R.I.P UNKNOWN SOLDIERS I RESPECT YOU

  • It doesn't matter what branch of military is guarding what. Yes there is friendly competition between the services especially with Marines and Army but we all know that when it is time to fight for the freedom of our nation and others we fight together. And.... for the moron that called the Commander of the Relief a robot, you couldn't stand there two seconds without whining that your precious feet hurt much less go and fight for your freedom.

  • -sighs- I hope one day to be in some sort of natinal Colorguard. Theres my passion ^_^ I would be THAT honored to hold our natinal flag or be a guard. As it is i get alot of practice with being in the Battalion Colorguard. -caugh- so yes. i got a little off track. my point is. honor your country and serve it any which way posible.

  • guard talkin like a robot....really you asshole....as a soldier in the mass guard currently going to school for the honor guard it pisses me off that you find it funny....do me a favor and research some shit and find out how fucking hard it is to be privliaged to get this job

  • damn Your going to school for honor guard you have one of the highest honors in the military

  • dear usmcgirl100..

ur trying really hard to be proud and moto......but dont bash any other service if u dont know what ur talkin about ......these men arent marines they are soldiers......... i appreciate your faithful spirit to our beloved corps but these men here stand for a cause hey believe whole heartidly in..... if u are a usmc girl idk how u would think they are marines...the uniforms arent even close...and its not spelled HOO RAH..its ohh rah!!! and unless u have earned it dont say it

  • The reason they talk like that is because not only so everyone can hear him, but he is ordered to talk like that. You are supposed to talk loud, and be proud. Thats why the motto is: THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE MARINES. HOO RAH!

  • This is not a marine this is a soldier........Only Members of the Uinted States Army 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) may Guard the tomb of the unknown soldier.....these rights are solely reserved for the ARMY because they are the Senior Service in the US Military

  • too bad the only military personnel that are allowed the guard the president and every single one of our embassies are the Marines. oorah

  • And some contractors (the Company Formally Known as Blackwater) in the case of the Embassies, the Secret Service in the case of PotUS...

  • yes you are correct, i cant tell you how many people confused us with marines when i was down there, i was there with the old guard from 2002 - 2005, I was in honor guard (Echo) company, and had the honor of going through the training cycle at the tomb. Unfortunately, I only made it to my 4th test and didnt pass, but i still had the HONOR and Privelage of about two dozen walks in that timeframe as well as many wreath ceremonies.

  • ... those aren't Marines.

  • its actually an army thing....

  • - is quite used to this- it's more or less called barking at our school but it is very clear when speaking that way.

And the 21 gun soulute is very very essential to an emerican soldier who passes away. it's acully quite emotinal, ebcause when my father died i exsperianced this. it hurts a little.

  • well may he rest in peace

  • Pwnage your an EFFING ENLIST and until you go through Graduation DON'T YOU DARE SPEAK ALL HIGH AND MIGHTY BECAUSE RIGHT NOW YOU DON't AMMOUNT TO SHIT!

  • the footwork :39-:41 is so ill!

  • I wish i could of een this. my class went on a trip to D.C this year and i wasnt allowed because of grades. it kills me to think i could have been there.

  • he "Talks like a robot" because he needs for every1 to understand him. Its very simple for any1 to hear him when he talks like that.

  • They have to talk like that dum ass

  • they have so much respect and class dont they

  • The 21 repesents the 21 gun salute

  • its every 21 minutes. because the numbers in the year 1776, which is the year we won our independence, equal 21. at least, thats what i heard. i might be wrong

  • Every hour in the winter, every 30 minutes in the summer.

  • You were correct in your guess that you were incorrect haha - no offense but the 21 from 1776 is just a coincidence.

The 21 Gun Salute is part of our Naval History. It started off as 13 for each of our colonies and worked up to 26 before it was settled on 21. you can look it up on wikipedia and get more information on the topic.

I used to be one of the members who fired on funerals in Arlington =)

  • A 21 gun salute is far older than the USA itself. It also now confirms to International Protocol.

  • hey don't they do this ceremony like every 30 minutes?

  • Comment removed

  • He's talking that way for a reason. Bet you could understand every word he said right? why? cause he is speaking w/a CLEAR and strong voice.

and he's dead serious, because honoring that tomb is serious...and should be respected.

  • Comment removed

  • I went there in march, but instead of this we got to see obama award medal of honor to a group of veterans. pretty cool

  • Obama awarding the Medal of Honor?!? I just think its funny since he cleary hates our way of life and hasnt served his country in any way...ever. Then again, few democrats have aaand he was elected...oh well.

  • you have no respect

  • It's called a COMMANDING VOICE!

Get some military ed. if you can't handle the way our soldiers speak.

  • As an American I take personal insult to how this video is titled. Please change it.

  • I see from your profile that you are young so I'll attribute this comment to youthful ignorance.

  • hey, i've got an idea, like is commented before, maybe you should go into the military and ask to be shipped to iraq. do you vote? if not, shut the fuck up. your opinion doesn't count.

  • heh, funny, know why? because if you knew anything about me, you'd know im enlisting in october of 09, so guess what dirt bag, your last isult was completely wasted on the fact that yes, I AM JOINING THE ARMY, AND I WILL GLADLY GO TO IRAQ IF IT MEANS CUM RECEPTICLES LIKE YOU CAN EVEN GET THE RIGHT TO "SPEAK" no matter how retarded and unintelligent you may be. Good day SIR!

  • pwnage91, joining the army doesn't give you the right to be all pomp and gall. Its a responsibility, and judging by your opinions, you have no right to wear that uniform. You don't know what hard work is yet. If you're enlisting, Tell me you went to Fort Knox or Fort Sill. At least then they'll knock some sense into that thick skull of yours. Do us servicemembers a favor and man up. Stop insulting others like a child. You're giving us a bad name.

  • hopefully he goes to Ft. Benning like me and gets taught how to be a man HOOAH!

  • your comment doesn't make a bit of sense. why call him/her a pansy? maybe you need to go into the military and get the shit kicked out of you in order for you to grow up. putting a comment like that on here is so childish. maybe you need to grow some stones asshole.

  • lucas is a worthless unAmerican little shithead

  • change the name of the video.. they have certin ways to speak....

  • Shame on you, lucas

  • As a former member(93-94) of The Old Guard, I can't believe some of the things I have read on here.I also served in the 75th Ranger Regement and 2/19th Special Forces Group. As for "speaking like a robot" comment,I would love to show the poster of this clip some of the other skills I learned while serving. Please remove this, or change the title to something more respectful. Not for the NCOIC,not for myself, but for my fallen brothers and sisters that this tomb was built for. Disrespecting SOB!

  • thankyou for your service im an airmen in training for TACP you might have been deployed with one we provide CAS for army units im still in training so im not a TACP yet i havnt earned my black beret yet lol
