You tie it at the top to start. Leave extra string tho before it so you can tie it around your wrist. Then start with wat they're doing in the video

@shortneyftw all you have to do is divide the amount of strings like in half and then start with the first string of the first set and do it like a normal bracelet until you reach the second half of the first string. then go to the last string of the second set and do backwards knots instead of forward knots. sorry if this was confusing, i tried to make it as less confusing as possible.

@yaninanet or else the other yard will go OVER the one you are tying, just nice loose knots, but not too loose... and dont forget the double knots! thats the first thing people forget, but its really easy, practice with cheap yarn at first, until you get the hang of it, and just relax.

@Etsuko77 u need like twice the amount of sting u would use for a regular bracelet and fold them in half so that the colors look like a mirror. so make sure that the middle colors are the same color and then at the top make a knot so that it makes a loop. and when u end it all u do is make a knot at the bottom. :)

I ended up knowing how to start it.....it's basically the way she is showing you here but from the very top....and to make it so that the colors are doubled you need to make 2 strings of the same color right next to each other and keep them that way then you'll get the pattern shown above....i hope that didn't sound too confusing, i would make a video but my camera only records like a minute lol.....
