Thank You. This is wonderful. I really hope the american people can look past party lines and and really look at the issues. I hope they look at Barack as a promising young candidate, and not just some democrat.
@writinghome33 He was promising 4 years ago. He's been a massive disappointment for those who believed in him. I never did. He's not a Democrat, he's just a guy with good objectives but all the worst ideas on how to achieve them. Not someone I want in the White House.
it was rude what he said about the hippie, asking his kid " do you know your dad is a hippie"after making the ignorant comment"wow i did'nt know there were still hippies ... ha ha ha" ignorant by def: uneducated and lacking knowledge.
One of the things we hear in the UK when talking about the US presidency is that the US as a whole, and particularly middle America, is not ready to vote for a President who is female, coloured or of mixed race, an atheist or homosexual.
What is take on the current situation? Does Obama have a real chance?
I hope so, it would certainly be seen as real step forward.

I think America is ready to vote for a female, a black or mixed race person IF the right person came along. Hillary WILL get votes, Obama WILL get votes, but neither of them are the right candidate for the office and I pray that neither are elected. When a minority comes along that has answers and is NOT just running as a minority they'll have a chance.
@progeny77 When you show me a gay/atheist/ethnic politician that is qualified for the job and has political ideals that fall in line with mine (fat chance of an atheist doing that, if so, Id be very surprised), then I would vote for that politician. Simply electing a black/atheist/gay man to office is not a step forward. He must be as qualified and as much a man of principle as every white/religious/straight president before him. My top priority is running/saving our country, not diversity.
I heard that Barrack doesn't believe in certain parts of the constitution like the 2nd Amendment. Gore lost half of the Union Household Votes because of this issue and it cost him the Election in 2000.
You are a good man and you should not apologize for loving your rights. I have to admit ignorance however, what do you mean by MCDF. Thanks for your time and thank for standing up for OUR Constitution.

Without the Second Amendment no other right is safe. America is dying the death of a thousand cuts, but if they ever try to take the right to bare arms no other freedom will be safe. That is the cause I will die for, the right to defend my freedom.
You know...he sounds kinda like The Rock.

- Just how many times can he say 'spectacular' and 'thank you'?
- Maybe if he did SOMETHING, the city colleges of Chicago might look a lot better.
- I doubt he has many real Republicans supporting him.
- At least he's right on one thing, the American people are the answer.
- I can't believe his tounge doesn't jump out of his mouth, he's such a liar.
- progeny77, hillary and obama don't have a chance because of their policies, not their gender or skin color.

Actually he didn't vote for the war, he wasn't in the senate when the war began but was publicly opposed to it.

I'm one of those MCDF's kind of people. I'll never vote for someone that doesn't believe in the 2nd Amendment, and I don't apologize for it either.
