@hthedog My family and I were there from 1969 to 1971. My family were also there in the early '60s before I was born. I remember Tiger Balm Gdns scared me. Do you remember the Holland Village market and the outdoor swimming pool?

OMG! I just got flashbacks of my childhood, to this day I thought they were just bad dreams that I once had! My dad was based in Changi in 1967, my brother was actually born there. I still remember the long narrow beach and all the ships anchored offshore, my earliest memories. thanks so much for this post. incredible!!
