  • How does this solve the problem of Peak Oil? If the net energy result of abotic oil production is negative we are no better off.

We could "mine" seawater for minerals but the energy costs would be prohibitive.

  • @rdsanchez1966 Nowhere in the video or the press release does it say anyting about net energy being negative. There is also no mention of mining seawater. You must be responding to the wrong video.

  • By the way uploader, i listened to you say "hello, hello" and paused it to write this comment, realising i couldn't listen anymore.

  • @Microverse1 By the way, cockface, I read how you said "by the way" and blocked you because I couldn't read any more.

  • My question was not weather abiotic oil is a crackpot theory. I am concerned that enthusiastic crackpots might be to meddling with something that could be very dangerous for a number of reasons. Money and greed talk and if some group of narrow minded over enthusiastic scientist are pressured into delving into dangerous unknown territory, the catastrophy in the Gulf could look like a tea party.

  • @ALBIONTYKE But that could happen with anything, not just oil.

  • How do we know this biotic oil is safe ? Look at the illnesses of the guys in the Gulf. Surly it's no coincidence that this green and red/ brown stuff floating in the ocean anything other than biotic ?

  • @ALBIONTYKE Safety isn't the question. The experiment clearly demonstrated that abiotic oil isn't some crackpot theory. Abiotic oil has real merrit and deserves proper scientific investigation.
