this was the best rome total war epic battle i ever saw :)

My enjoyment of online play, has lowered.

I HATE Urban and praetorian spammers.

I played a 10k battle, I used every unit I thought necessary, and I got only an AVERAGE victory against an army consisting of only urbans a praetorian cav.

We must boycott these fruity, no-skill units!

Well, if we consider it that way, we should too boycott cataphracts, elephants, artillery and chariots. Royal pikes, sacred band, spartans, and all other elite units.

Urbans are necessary against eastern factions, and people bring them when they are not sure of opponent's skills.

elite units are fine onlly that they should be REAL elite units and not the main component of an army

Urbans and praes weakness is their cost(&cataphracts), and you can outnumber them with lesser troops. 2-4 cataphracts and 2 comp cav+6 archers will win the battle. Also against urban spam you should bring more ifn than he does(6 ss pikemen), and chase the praetorians with ur extra silver shields. When they fall back from your inf, you'll shoot the backs of his praetorians.

@TheRoopeKonna if you complain about eles in normal RTW then you should go play SPQR mod and see how much they are overpowered.their bare presence make the campaign as rome impossible because cathage has elephnts

cataphracs are perfectly fine,people suck at using elephants and artyllery

this is off topic to this battle but has to do with rtw you guys may already know this but the Seleucid Dynasty[or empire same thing] is that there founder was an Macedonian General forgot his name but his name is similar to the name Seleucid when I read this I was just "wow thats very interesting"

Yes knubbgas came very close to killing me here. Our second battle he slaughtered my Roman army with Carthage.

lol, Carthage has no shortage of good generals in this tourney.

Your infantry barely engaged in the beginning because they were both in guard mode lol.

In that last part if he had taken his infantry off guard mode his hammer and anvil might ahve worked better :S

i like guard mode :P usually when I use it on troops when I tell them to attack a certain unit if any other units attacks them my guys fight against them as well and my inf seems stronger in defense mode
