Around here, senior citizen centers usually have walkers or wheelchairs that can be borrowed for a day, a week, or however long the person may need it...among other things. You will find some place that can help I'm sure. Have a good time!!

I did a quick check... you should use the search term "Mobility Scooter" to get the hits you want. There are many brands, but I admit, I don't know which are available in England. I'm sure you wouldn't like to make an international purchase and wait weeks on end for delivery. Part of the service is that they bring it to your home fully assembled, then provide a quick tutoring on operation and simple maintenance issues. Anyway, as I said, "Mobility Scooter". :)

Peter, don't bother with a wheelchair, rent a personal scooter! Thousands of seniors use them in the U.S., so I'm sure they have them in the U.K., too. A popular one is called the HoverRound, because the front end is rounded so it's easier to get through doorways in the house, etc. Runs on a battery at probably 5 mph max. Makes it easy as pie to keep up with fellow pedestrians. You should Google it. Best of luck. :D

I've never been one for F1 racing but some of the stuff that the McLaren guys have cooked up over the years are amazing. In saying that once as a lad I used to watch some of then greats... I like the Classic stuff more than the stuff thats on show now... More passion than advertising. Remember the old F1 Lotus under the JPS Colours... I still have a toy car of that :) Amazing

Im soo jealous.

I was at silverstone this year for my first ever GP it was really great. It was a shame that there wasn't a British winner but it was still somewhat a home win with the red bulls doing so well.

Used to go past the mclearen hq alot when i went to visit my nan. Took them years to build the place.

Peter, rather than a wheelchair, you should think in terms of one of those little "mobility scooters." A bit like a little 3 wheeled electric motorbike, they're THE thing for getting around, as getting around becomes more difficult. They're common here in the U.S., and I'm certain they're available over there, too. Both of my parents had them in their later years, and they were a Godsend. (They can really scoot down the street, too. My Mother used to terrify us. LOL)
