Look i'm okay with the voice acting of silent hill 2 wether it is still original or not i'm fine with it... BUT silent hill 3 for heather THEY FUCKED THAT SHIT UP I am highly upset. I've been in love with heather ever since I was a fetus in my mothers womb and they managed to get by with this monstrosity!? I can't even begin to describe how I feel.. But all i'm gonna say is. Thank god my ps2 still works so I can play it on there! Fuck the hd addition piece of shit

Are there only 2 titles on the 'collection?' Sure. But you can bet your balls that if it sells well enough you'll be seeing 'SH HD Collection - Vol. 2' with at least 1 other previous release and some lame bullshit to watch (if not a 2nd title to accompany it) within a year and a half's time. Marketing ploy? Sure. You can bet your balls again.

At least for Silent Hill 2. They weren't able to put that option in for Silent Hill 3, something about some sort of limitations.

The new voice acting is kinda dull, just clearer sounding. They didn't remake 1 that was very odd or lazy probably would have bought it for that one to be remade 1 is amazing still. I'll stick with the hex editing making 2 and 3 stretch, it's kinda not worth it for these they look fine anyway. Voice acting made these games unique don't ya think, now it's just not there, weird stuff but at least new people will experience it all in a different way with these and the 2nd movie.

@DarkR27 no, the voice acting didn't make the game it was horrible. The only games that voice acting kept together was legacy of kain series. For Silent Hill 2 even the actors admitted that they had to improvise and translate from a bad japanese script. That's why everything is so awkward. The only thing that kept the game together were the impressive graphics and every sound/music you can hear.

@zalgrad85 Not really, i get used to the normal FOV at that resolution , when i used the hack was hard to get used to, but i actually feel alot better with the FOV Hack with that resolution than with out it, because i can see more field and it dont look like a 4:3 resolution and the only parts i couldn't see was when everything was dark.... lmao xD

@skullapendra I think sh1 is on PSN...maybe not sure, but it would totally make sense since Blood Omen, Soul Reaver and even RE1-3 are there. You know, I wish people would've bought SH4 more. I did, wish I hadn't, but it would've been awesome to get it like this. Well I guess the price won't be 60, but cheaper than that. I remember the resident evil collection which was just the gamecube titles. Still this is something cool if you ask me.

1 and 2 being poor in the sense of the voice acting that is - brilliant games, brilliant examples of horror video games at their finest, but the voice acting was just cringe-worthy in 1 and 2. 3 I can't speak for. 4 I can't even remember because It wasn't as meaningful as 1 and 2 to me. Homecoming and Shattered Memories were solid though...what point was I making? Ah yes I understand the upset over changing just one tiny bit of the experience we know and love but I'd be all for the new ones...

I honestly never thought the voice acting changes would be any issue with anyone. I love Silent Hill, I'm a huge fan of it's psychological horrors - If I won the lotto tomorrow you can bet I'd adapt James' story or something - but the voice acting was always wooden to the point of being laughable but hey, I was okay with that - the woodiness was part of its charm. I've yet to play SH3 - my lady set me up with it and her old PS2 but I've since been a busy man - 1 and 2 were both somewhat poor

I suspect it might look slightly better than the PC version-they probably upscaled the cut scenes and possibly improved the textures somewhat though I couldn't say for certain. It'd also be really nice if they revamped the lighting system somewhat-particularly to allow for some softer shadows but I'm not holding my breath. The voice-acting for Mary in-particular sounds like she's trying to be more "dramatic" than natural-but that could just be my nostalgia talking.

I like her music. Though she sounds always the same. On the SH3 OST you can hear her reading certain diary passages, sounds quite the same as her SH2 voice acting.

Just speak your mind like in the 45min preview video. It makes it more interesting, as if the viewer is in the same room and experience the same as you.

@wastelandsurvivor here's the problem with twin perfect: the lore surrounding silent hill is vague, and that's on purpose. being vague factors into a fear of the unknown. not only is trying to figure out the "truth" of the town taking away from the scares, but it's also pointless since it's vague: sh allows for various interpretations of its events. twin perfect are trying to take away some of the fun of the game by not letting you come to your own conclusions. by the way: ufo endings are canon

The teams working on the new Silent Hill games dont know what SH is about.

Since Team Silent stopped working on it there simply was no other SH game.

Guys HD is a lie, they didnt change the graphics in any way.

They just changed the resolution, which you can do in the PC versions of the games.

The original voice actors are one of the best in Silent Hill 2.

The new ones are not bad, but don't fit the characters of SH2(James was designed after his voice actor Guy Cihi).

Heathers new voice actor seems to be okay.

Please keep in mind that the original voice actors had been chosen for a reason, this remake had only been made for the money.

No offense but from what I've seen in screenshots there's not much of a difference considering it's 10 years old; I've been working with the game models of SH2 to SH4 often and I'm not impressed, still I acknowledge the work of the new voice actors(the new Eddie is crap though).

What I loved most was the storyline and the voice acting.

In my opinion the old ones are better,

though I'm interested in sh3's new voices.

@Reloading26 Well, I think voice acting is quite important in games such as Silent Hill. but you've got a point there with Resident Evil. For example I love the the Resident Evil for the setting and not the voice acting. It depends on the game really. Silent Hill 2 tells us the story of how James( and Eddies and Angela) is dealing with his guilt, it's quite important to have good voice acting, because we're focusing on a human being, at least that's my opinion :)
