The Foderas are really overpriced. I pay less than half for a beautiful handmade instrument in Europe with any type of wood and pickups that I choose. Fodera currently has a big name so they can still get away with overcharging for their basses. Just like Alembic did in the early 80's. I hardly know anybody (except Stanley Clarke) that plays Alembics anymore.

@SpedeCO2 You cant compare modern instruments with that of those that have been around for centuries. The electric guitar and bass arent even ONE century old. The complexities and levels of mastery that go into making any of the stringed family (violin, viola, cello, and contrabass) are incomparable. 15K is wayy more than the value of what most pros are using aside from vintage instruments.. Im just sayin..
