the brand selling this sight doesn't give details on its waterproofness, but you should be able to paly with it under the rain without any problems, and even submerging it for a short period of time shouldn't cause you any problems! I have had this red dot for more than a year now and i have not been always all that careful and it still works just like it did in that video! the only thing I had to do on it was changing the batteries! thanks for your feedback!
would this hold a zero and is it easy and have an accurate zero, as in when turning the knobs it actually moves the reticle in a straight line, not wavy like cheap sights would do, also would this hold a zero on a real firearm? i want to put this on my 10/22 or my ar-15
@AzNFudgeman The manual doesn't explain how many clicks equal 1 MOA from what i know... but it is easy to accurately zero the sight and it should also hold this zero on a real firearm. howerver i'm not shure if the mount was built to withstand the recoil of a real firearm. hope his helped. if anything wasn't clear feel free to ask me!
@EchoNatek on a real red dot, if you can change between "colors" it's to toggle night vision, in most cases...
the red dot is used for daytime, and a infrared dot is used together with night vision goggles...
so it can be used at all times...
the red dot in the review can also be used at daytime as well as by night, because the brightness levels are set for it! anyways it really depends on your red dot,
i think that a scope red dot sight (like yours) is more capable of showing bright in son. the dot is inside
but my kind of sight has an advantage over the scopes. it is quicker to point on a target at closer range.
it will be more difficult with a scope styled red dot corz it limits your view. my does not. it is even better then iron sight according a weight view.
@EchoNatek now i understand better! yes i know what you mean by one glass red dot. the problem with the brightness of the dot could indeed come from there, but it is kind of strange that your real red dot, is not build in a way that gives you the possibility of using it at daytime. have you checked the batterie?i know it's kind of a dump question but it happens more often than you would think, and since i don't know which model you are exactly talking about its kind of difficult to give any advice
@EchoNatek and you are probably right about the ranges at which the red dot and at which the red dot sight should be used, but i haven't tried out a single lens red dot by now so i can't really tell the difference, buton the wight factor yours is surely superior to mine meaning it wights less. however i'm not sure about viewing angles and all that...
@SpiriTeaMleader i feel like the sight used for closer range, you can see more and focus better on a closer range. superior better then the iron sight for close targets.
so i think thats the reason someone would use it.
the sight needs to be small and thats why there is a limitation on how big the battery can be
thats why it use 3v ca2032. and i think thats why it is having troble in bright sunlight.
i can still see the dot. so i can still use it. but i think thats the limitation for a ca2032.
I'm thinking of getting this sight and I have 2 questions. Is it waterproof? And will it last for a long time? Oh by the way nice video!

i have a red dot sight on my scar.
it is that kind of red dot used in call of duty 4.
so it is just 1 glass. (makes it easier to kill close enemies)
when i am outside in the sunshine, i kinda fill like it is not bright enough.
i have different styles of dots. the normal dot is just too low brightness for me use in my opinion.
i use a circle with a x inside. mutch more cleer.
but still i think it will be nice with more brighness.
is a red dot ment to be used indoor or afternoon.
