My grandfather was the manager of the only M1A1 Manufacturing Plant in the U.S. in Lima, Ohio. He played a vital role in designing the M1A1 Abrams Tank and the Stryker. All of the soldiers out there who have dedicated there lives to being in combat to protect our country: Thank you. My grandfather never was in the Army, but he loved contributing to the lives of those who are.
@gosciu555 these vehicles can roll on just three of there 8 tires and cross country there is no wheeled vehicle in the military that is smoother and weighing in at only 21 tons fully loaded got to say not bad not bad at all
hate to break it to you angel... all OC say that.. just like we were the best stryker unit to ever go through the lanes too. i have heard that same line a 100 times in 9 years... it is a moral thing dude.
Anyone who says a Stryker is garbage is clueless. It's the best thing to have ever entered the infantry world. Our Stryker unit, 3-2, 1/23 were the best to have ever gone through NTC last month, to get ready for our deployment. by the words of the OC's themselves because of our patrolling and security, the mobility of the Stryker is a part of that. The use of the RWS to man the 50cal or MK 19 bye control. Also, you blow a track off you go nowhere but in a circle, you blow 4 tires u still drive
@AngelOfNight9 roger that, Strykers can take a hell of a lot of punishment and still continue operating and protecting those inside. I'd rather roll in a Stryker than anything else!

@AngelOfNight9 LoL no offense Angel, but the OC's told us that as well at NTC. I was part of 1-5 INF, 1/25 SBCT, out of Alaska, and they were claiming that WE were the best unit to go through the NTC, our security was top notch and knocked the socks off any other unit to go through.
But heck yeah, I loved being with Strykers. Can definitely take a hell of a beating. The only thing I prefer to the Stryker is an M1 Abrams.
@deucedfour I realize this. That's why I didn't say something like "WE ARE the best unit to have gone through..." because I know they say it to everyone if you re-read my post.
U blow front four tires and you're STUCK. You get a track blown off on a M113, you throw down the other one, attach to the rear of another M113 and you get towed home. The entire operation takes less than 20 minutes.
i dont think its not smoke , fog also it could be , did u see the breadth of the soldier at last ....may be my english is weak but i think u can get my point...

Try to go cross country and you'll change your mind. Also you can't blow four wheels and keep going, one-two maybe but not four.
