  • @LordSparkisvati RACIST, turd.

  • @LordSparkisvati 100,000 killed annually in the U.S. and being 2nd in infant mortality in the world - Hope you are old enough to know better.

  • The day that people can no longer live in fear of losing their home because of outstanding medical bills, will be a better time indeed, but the only thing more heinous than taxation would be the unbridled greed of the "free" market - I.E. FOR PROFIT health care. For profit is fine if you are selling stereos, cars the size of buses, or yachts, but not health care. Until greed is not allowed to be a factor at all, we will not have anything resembling 'the best health care in the world".

  • @kipptumor

and the government is not going to profit?

  • @bigj70634 Wow! Lay off the strychnine and snakes. Want to know how many Canadians or U.K. residents lost their homes because they had the balls to get sick? - ZERO! Tea parties are for little girls!!!

  • Well let's see... we will pay about 17% more out of our paychecks. We will not get to use it for 4 years, yet we still pay for it during those 4 years. We will go to prison for 1 to 5 years if we miss 2 or more payments in any one year. Yes, it even violates the 13th Amendment for Involuntary Servitude. Guess we will all become Tax Slaves.

  • yeah, dude what health care system, you don't got one, you have "insurance", which means basically a big corporation that thanks you your freemarket, no rules market can charge w.e it wants, and pay out as much or little as they want (usuall on the side of nothin).....to quote somebody else "how come the u.s is the only country in the world that makes money off people being sick?"

  • Illegal bribe!

  • What???!!!!!

  • Hey whats up! I loved your channel!

Its cool. Check out mine! Stay in touch. Hope you got my friend request! Maybe you can sub

  • What's so bad with universal health care other than the bullshit lies you make up. We don't wait 8 hours it's not disfunctional everything works fine up here and pretty much every european country. For god sakes I thought the red scare was over.

  • yea then we can pay as much taxes as europe does YAY! we actually work we want our money

  • @superbacon321 Calm down... here in Germany we also work as hard as you guys in the US and still wont have to spend all our money for health care. Either you pay something for what you want or you don't - simple as that.

  • Why is there no debate amongst scientist over whether global warming is real or not? The only thing they don't agree on is what to do about it. Some even argue that we shouldn't do anything about it because it's inevitable. You have to be an absolute moron to think that global warming is a lie.

Thanks for the video and the comments at the end. Really depressing to know how much idiots are out there.

  • There is no debate for the same reason there is no debate over evolution. The question has been answered. You on the other hand are a retard who doesn't understand a fucking thing.

  • Sorry, not you, the cunt who makes these sad act videos.

  • I may be wrong, but if their positions were reversed, I don't think the Republicans would have the gall to use the billions in stimulus money to buy votes for national health care. They would be raked over the coals by the media if they did. But, since the Democrats blatantly did just that, it seems to be o.k. with the state-run media. Talk about an unfair double-standard!

  • Harry Reid brought up slavery. I hear more democrats voted against the civil rights act of 1964 (including Al Gore's father). Harry really shouldn't dig things up that make his party look hypocritical. Oh well, the truth has to come out sooner or later. The sooner, the better. "Obamacare" is a HUGE mistake America!

  • Global warming shouldn't be remedied at the cost of peoples' lives or the economy. But that doesn't mean it isn't a problem.

  • @HowTheWorldWorks

Brilliant, For Once a Bright Person Speaks Up!!!!

    Keep them videos coming.

  • it's $300 million to medicaid for the state lmao. i dont know about you but i'm pretty sure landrieu isnt on medicaid so she wont be getting any of that money. this spin that conservatives come up with is ridiculous. end of life counselling thats already in most healthcare plans, already in the medicare plan, and even in the RNC healthcare plan, suddenly becomes DEATH PANELS. lmao. republican answer to healthcare is tort reform which has bureacrats decide how much arms and legs cost.. WOW.

  • willie, ... not sure if that is sarcasm in your last remark? Of course, no Senator will ever be on medicaid or medicare. Question for ya. Are you one of these sheep that "feel" that you can not survive if it wasn't for the Federal Governments involvement in your daily life?

I'm a Democrat and I am embarassed of the direction our Democratic leadership is taking this country! Where are our State's rights!? Where is the cry for OUR individual Liberty!?

Read the Constitution, It's only one page!

  • No and I dont think those sheep you speak of are really all that real. More like a boogie-man made up to discredit people who disagree with you as stupid. Besides its the Christians who say "the lord is my shephard" lol.

I wonder where our State's rights are also, and our individual liberties, however I've wondered this for years, it didn't start(or end) once Obama got into office.

Bush literally spied on what books we rent from libraries, where was the outrage then!?!?!?

  • willie,... I was outraged then. There are many more people like me who have a distrust for our Federal Gov. It matters not which party is control.

Of course "non-Sheep" like ourselves already know this. :)

  • Well the powers-that-be know this all too. And they will use it to divide us and help their causes. Look at tort reform. It would let congress literally decide how much money an arm or leg is worth in a trial, if investigation and specialists in a trial cost more than what the bureacrats decide then lawyer wont even take it. Yet people who are against gov-control r for this... because foxnews TV tells them to be. Tort reform is a thousand times worse than public option.

  • You know, I have no problems with your blind following of liberalism, but please, please, can you at least have the decency to change your username to "liberals keep the lower class under their thumb paris".

  • If believing in the Constituion, State's rights, individual freedoms, individual Liberty; above all classes of people or neat little groups that our government wants to place us in is Narrow....

Then I have a narrow view too. I may not agree with how you think, but I believe it's your right to do so.

  • If the CEO of any private corporation did what the Senators and Congressmen do, then they would be in prison for fraud.

  • Great Vid, as usual.

  • If Reid wants to compare Health Care to slavery than we have a ways to go before Heathcare would be required real attention.

  • HTWW and anyone else reading this, j0hnwilliams is a total HYPOCRITE. He rails against corporations as evil like a typical leftist lunatic but it says on right on his account page that he works for an extremely large corporation that has thousands of employees and does millions/billions of dollars in revenue. I confronted him on this and he started basically saying that his company isn't evil and all that. So he's against corporations as long as he's not working for them. He's a fraud.

  • I think it's perfectly OK for senators to bribe other senators with taxpayer money -- just as long as the only taxpayer that money is coming from is the senator doing the bribing. ^_^

  • If this $300 mil. bribe leads to this bill becoming law, the blood of my 2 sons who have autism will be on the heads of ALL THE SENETORS WHO WILL VOTE FOR IT !!!

  • your kids are gonna die. LULZ

  • Well stated HowTheWorks. It's good to hear a sound word, while at the same time, hearing the flushing of our economy and freedoms go striaght down the toilet.

  • and on global warming. there is no more debate. it was debunked by the hacker that got thousands of emails from algore's scientists telling everything. the marxist media though, wion't report it. climategate should be the biggest investigation in history. put gore and cronies under the jailhouse!

  • fuck hairy weed and the rest of the criminals. i think it's time to break out the guillotines and re enact the french revolution. off with their heads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey, how do you think the Bail out got passed. The senate was "bribed" with pork to their state. A bunch of crooks. Even the house couldn't pass the bail out. Democrats are losers. And so is this administration. It's pretty pathetic that so called "intellectual" liberal democrats are getting fooled so easily. This was NEVER about getting health care to everyone. There is NOT a public option, or single payer in this bill. It's nothing more than giving insurance companies more welfare. LAME!

  • Seems to me you try to encourage thoughtless knee jerk reactions by posting "clever" little zingers that contribute nothing to the discussion at the end of your videos.

  • I noticed that too.

  • were goin the way of the romans

  • im canadian and this will fail lololol

  • Government run healthcare is not about healthcare! It's about govt. taking over 1/6 of the American economy! It's about money and power and control of us the American! The liberals know that the majority of American's do not want a govt. option yet they lie and say we do! Why?, because the liberals believe that this is what it will take to bring America down! Down to the socialist level! 5 stars and favored!!!

  • Harry Reid is a dumbass

  • Reid is nuts.

  • Unfortunately that's called a Rider, which is completely legal.

  • Anyone who recalls who Mary Landriue's father was the Mayor of New Orleans, they called Moon because He'd promise you the moon to get your vote Then steal your house, car, bank account & coat People in Louisiana know Landriue ain't very nice and what she IS,their just negotiating her price Girls on the corner, girls in the street, all gots to make a living-off their feet Mary's no different, she's got no class Got it from her Daddy,a major ass
  • I like the thought about washington state maybe if King county voted first instead of last we 3/4 of the state would have a chance to get our votes to count

  • Another example of this government placeing itself above the law. We came to this country to get away from this very thing. Now were do we go? We have to stand and fight useing whatever means necessary to take our country back. It's our constitutional "duty".

  • does anyone here know where carbon dioxide goes after it comes out of a man-made car?

  • Out to be absorbed and recycled by algae.

  • into plants as food, out of plants as oxygen, thank god for CARBON!

  • up Al Gores ass and into his head so it can expand. I'm really starting to hope it pops.

  • This isn't a bribe. This is extortion. First, the gov steals our money. Then they dangle part of it in front of faces, claiming that we'll get it if we just demand that our Senators vote for a bill that we don't want. And then somehow they expect us to re-elect those Senators.

I have a better idea. Demand that your Senators vote no. Then choose not to re-elect anyone that voted for a bailout, stimulus bill, or the health care bill. Voila! It's like money in your pocket.

  • What about people who live in states like WA where the democrats just xerox ballots and stuff the boxes, EVERY STINKING TIME!!?

  • Good question. Savage beatings sound like a good cure, but how do we detect the perps? :P

  • business as usual

  • It is an act of treason to sell out our country for cap and trade. I hope the falsified sciencists and politicians go to jail.

  • Maybe health care wiil be like welfare, every dollar taken in 72 cents goes to government workers to give it out, 28 cents goes to people on welfare.

  • So if this works in the political field, if I give the school board $300 can I just get a diploma?

  • So Harry Reied opened up to a slavery issue?

Well- 13th amendment Abolishing of slavery reads:

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

My interpetation: "So it again shows that h/c is UNconstitutional."

  • Your comparing apples to space ships!! Yea... that's right.... space ships. Not even close to oranges!!!! Keep trying.

  • Oh I will!

Gotta keep up the fight against all this unconstitutional legislation and tyranical government.

  • No, it's not appropriate (what Mary Landrau is doing) but you're not exactly objective. :)

  • $300? US population is some 300,000,000 million.

If your lucky this $300,000,000 'bribe' costs you the tax payer $1, not $300.

    Math.

  • and that's not the way it works, I wish life was that easy. You gotta factor in income, if you are currently on welfare, and position. Politicians won't have to pay a dime.

  • @RyanB0011 It shouldn't cost a cent. regardless of what the math is, the point is that it is a flagrant misuse of taxpayer funds.

  • gee.....RyanBO11 - is saying Lusty Liar Land-hoar's .......BRIBE will only Co$t the taxpayers - $1.00 - Dollar??...........so if you ADD+ it all up?......one of the Senators diagrammed if we could HOLD back Obama the egoic lefty loon NOW!....we will be owing over $500,000 in taxes and debt PER FAMILY!..........(dear RyanTHEboob - that is not what I planned on for RETIREMENT!......I was hoping to take that $500,000 and sit next to a monk seal at Poipu Beach ~ in Hawaii! but NO=OBAMA NEEDS IT!)

  • Who gives a shit!

So are you implying that this type of bribing tactic is alright to do just because it's a small fee taken from the American people?!

Either way no matter what the cost is, it's never right and above all, it's never constitutional!

But yeah... your right, it's only going to cost us about a dollar or more for this bribe, but then it's going to cost us a hell of a lot more money once this bill is passed!

    Think about it!

  • Mary is nothing more than a high priced WHORE!!!

  • awesome video!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HowTheWorldWorks,

I tell what I think. If this unconstitutional government run health care bill passes figuratively forcing decisions on your personal body which actually is "The only thing you fully own, is yourself" forcing you to purchase what you may not want or even need is communism period. We will lose our freedoms in choices in a broad endless spectrum.

  • Where have you been gosh every word you say I know is right on it, for a while there I really thought I was the only one that sees what I see but the facts are the facts

  • Why are you all so scared for this health-care? WE all have to have car insurance...this is going to be the same thing! The gov't says we have to have it and there are plenty of insurance company's fighting. Just relax and let Obama take care of us!

This will promote more affordable policies..of course I am a teacher in NYS so I am protected in this matter. But everyone should have a chance to have AFFORDABLE insurance!

  • itll create affordable insurance but at the cost of business's which will make most of them out source there jobs or close and then we still have to pay through taxes but how can we pay if we dont have a job it the health care bill passes itll flush our economy down the toilet and make us one damn poor country

  • It's not nationalized medicine that is prompting US companies to outsource jobs overseas. That's apparent as it has been a growing practice long before the healthcare debate. It's the same corporate greed that created our healthcare system that we have today that is pushing jobs out of the country. I understand being skeptical of the government, but I don't understand your blind trust in corporate America. They don't have your best interests at heart, only their profits.

  • ...and my dumb DIM senator gave Obama their "vote" for = NOTHING!....we could of held out like Landrieu .....and gotten some of that OBAMA MONEY.....and maybe a ride on Air Force One over Mt. Rainier ~ DAMN!

  • I am missin' Mt Ranier.... What's the weather over there today? Let me guess, rainy and around 50?

  • A $300 million bribe to a senator? Wasn't the first time it was done and it wont be the last.

  • lol i can't believe you took wi11iams seriously.

  • And to think our state congressmen are being bribed to jump on the bandwagon should be a major corruption flag of Obama and his administration, including Reid and Pelosi.

  • I believe that a socialized health care system would be great for our society at large, however a government run system would destroy the quality of our system.

How many people want to watch their fifty year old parents die of curable cancer simply because they can't afford treatment?

  • No one wants to watch that happen. But socialism is not the answer. There is no such thing as free healthcare, the money has to come from somewhere. Confiscating from one group to give to another is immoral, no matter what the intention is.

  • Your right stealing is immoral but what is the real problem?

  • What do you mean, what is the real problem? Sorry, don't understand...

  • I don't think anybody wants that to happen. But the reason people can't afford health insurance is because of government regulations, taxes, and fees and the companies which get passed on to YOU. You think government is the solution? It's the PROBLEM! They need to fix healthcare costs by getting out of it, not getting more involved.

  • YouthfulStone who said government is the solution? Of course they are the problem, when ever you have one group of people trying to tell another what to do problems develop.

  • Give me 20 Bucks and I'll vote you best looking on Youtube. No wait, Take it off of Peter and Give it to Paul. It is his turn to vote.

  • You don't want to pay taxes to give the people of your country some healthcare?

Over here we get charged tax to own a vehicle on the road, would you not want that either? Would you think 'road' insurance companies could pay to keep the roads in better condition?

BTW I'm not saying the NHS is perfect, but I know, and every important politician knows, the UK would be a lot worse off without it. Waiting times are irrelevant when comparing 2 different systems with entirely different agendas.

  • We have something here in the US called a constitution. There are only 3 specific duties that are outlined in the constitution that the federal govt is responsible for. HEALTH CARE ISN'T ONE OF THEM. How can you say that healthcare systems have different agendas. Either the agenda is providing healthcare or its not. We don't have to wait in line for healthcare, and we don't want to start now. That's why our system (which is a free market system) is far superior than yours!!!

  • Insurance companies are businesses, their agenda is not to provide good care, but to make money. They only provide as good care as their competitors.

A healthcare system provided by a government is not a money making scheme, it's a public service. Insurance companies have no obligation to provide you with a satisfactory service, only with a safe one.

As I've said already, insurance companies will not stop providing health insurance, we have it over here in the UK too, but I don't need it.

  • They have done polls here, and something like 84% are happy with their insurance plans. Their business is to stay in business, and if their clients were happy, they wouldn't stay in business. If the dems were truly concerned about competition, they would allow the insurance companies to compete accross state lines. Free market capitalism is the BEST place to provide services. The govt would provide substandard care. I'm and RN, and I've worked for the govt and for private. (Private =far better)

  • Greed is a part of humanity. If the Government is put in control like in the UK for example the same policies and practices that people hate with the current system will just change hands. Greed goes to where the money is, if this passes the Government. The people on top due to being in charge of so many people naturally can't help but see the people as statistics after awhile it's just too many people. So they try to cut costs not being able to realize how it's affecting everybody.

  • @WillieTube154 As for roads, I live in NYC, the last time the roads were paved in Manhattan was before I was born. Our bridges are crumbling and our infrastructure weak because govt. sponsored unions take forever to complete projects. The only real gains here in development come from private enterprise. I am not saying the govt. should relinquish its duties in providing highway funds, I am just saying they do a terrible job.

  • Nice response!

To bring in what Marie said above, are good conditioned roads in your constitution? :P

Over here in the UK roads are the responsibility of local councils, not the national government, and these councils are a mixture of conservative, liberal, green, labour... and I'd bet all of them have roads that have neglected surfaces, regardless of their political views :(

So Americans dont mind providing strangers with mediocre roads, but providing them with good health is taboo? :S

  • WE ALREADY HAVE GOOD HEALTH CARE!!! It's NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GOVT, as the constitution shows. The more the govt gets involved in healthcare, the poorer the quality will be, and money will go to govt systems and bureucrats instead of patients. The purpose of this bill is not providing better care, but to have MORE control over the American people. We fought ol' King George to be able to govern ourselves, and that's what we intend to do!!

  • Surely the point of your bill is to provide health care to more people? From a govenment's perspective, having it's country's citizens stay alive is a good thing, so you can see why they might want to do it.

The standard may not be as good as if you were on an insurance scheme, but it will likely keep you alive... I'm sold?

... It sounds like you're against paying any form of tax whatsoever over there, do you pay any? :S

And don't get patriotic on me, not relevant to my questions.

  • Willie, isn't it getting to be past your bedtime over there? Do you understand the difference in a free market, and one that's controlled by the govt? A business has an incentive to have customers to make a profit, & so they produce a better product. The govt has no incentive, so it's product is poor. As an Rn in the healthcare business, of course I would want to see more people covered. But not covered by coercion or force. The bill threatens JAIL time if a FREE citizen doesn't get "covered".

  • Ah, you see we don't have that Jail part over here.

Man, your government sucks. What kind of law is that? Bollocks is what it is. You sure that is actually part of the health care bill and not just an exaggerated statement from a news station?

Also, I'm still only asking questions, and I have learned more in these comments than from any of HTWW's videos. I was trying to educate myself on American affairs, you're not giving me a good impression of the US with all your subtle 'swipes' at me.

  • Sorry, Willie, most people I debate on this forum call me horrible names and say horrible things about me because I disagree with them. I am just kidding with you, and it is nice to debate someone as pleasant as you. The bill is bad, that's all there is to it. Bad for lots of reasons. Freedom is what gave us the prosperity we have, and the govt tries every way to take it from us. Anyway, my hair appt is calling me, have a good day/night!!!

  • Willie, we ALL pay taxes over here. Federal income tax, state income tax, gas tax, alcohol tax, cigarette tax (not that I drink or smoke), sales tax, cell phone tax, car tag tax, fishing license tax, electricity tax, water tax, sewage tax, trash tax, death tax, cable tax, internet tax, phone tax, rental car tax, cruise tax, hotel tax(my hands are getting tired)

  • I have to go get my hair done- taxed on that as well!!!

  • That was a fascinating story, and it needed to be told.

  • I would like one to extend coverage to those who are uninsured. That is not the debate here, or in congress. The debate is how we are to do it. Most here argue, as do I, one could accomplish such a feat by regulating the insurance industry and expanding the existing exchange. BTW Though you appear to be a liberal, I appreciate your respectful commentary, as opposed to usual rant and raves we get from opposing view points on right-leaning videos.

  • Yea I can see that a system like our NHS may not be the best option for America now that I've heard comments. But as you stated, it sounds like coverage needs to be extended.

Also if anyone should think the UK health system is bad... the consensus of the UK is that the NHS is wanted. Even the conservative party leader said they were "the party of the NHS".

As for my political views I do try to stay in the middle... there's no perfect stance for me, it's catch 22 both sides over here. :(

  • @WillieTube154 may I ask you what your opinion of Daniel Hannan is? I like the guy a lot. However, the NHS is quite low in terms of cancer survival rates, whereas the US ranks #1. However, the NHS was supposed to be temporary. It was created during WWII. The problem with govt. industry, is that once put into place, it is nearly impossible to undue, for it creates dependency. Cost is hard to control.

  • @dazednconfused88

Daniel Hannan, imo, is probably one of the worst politicians to say controversial views just for the sake of gettting on TV. What he said on Fox is not what his party stands for or wants, and when interviewed, his party leader was asked if Daniel was even going to be disciplined! (wat??)

I'd say that America shouldn't base its health care model on that of another country's, and they certainly shouldn't listen to an MEP (that's just outspoken a lot) even more so.

  • @dazednconfused88 again

I still think comparing a business scheme with a government plan is not quite the right way to look at it. The NHS ranks lower than a better funded set of businesses, not really an achievement on the part of US insurers.

And the NHS was not created during WW2, but after, and with a quality of care that just keeps getting better, and an organization that just creates more and more jobs, its a good thing to have for politicians and for the UK.

  • Unlike the UK, the govt. is 3-tiered, we have federal govt., state, & local. The federal govt. porivdes a percentage of state's budgets, bc states cannot afford such expenditures on their, bc they dont have the revenue to support it. As for healthcare, a regulatory bill would suffice. break up monopolies, statewide exchanges etc. we can reform for less money. nothing in the current bill is indexed for inflation. its actual price tag is over 1 trillion. our currency is crap bc of policy like this

  • The actual price tag is over 2 trillion; and the kicker is that we pay taxes for 10 years, but "get benefits" for 6!!! In 2012, insurers will no longer be able to sign up new clients, which will be the deathnell of private insurers.

  • @Marie8675 thats typical govt. You give the fed 1 dollar and they spend 5.

  • Mary Landrieu = POLITCAL WHORE. This healthcare bill is NOT about insuring the uninsured. It is about destroying our way of life- which is by far more superior than any other in the WORLD, AND THAT GOES FOR HEALTHCARE AS WELL. Nojobs Obama doesn't give a shit about those of you that are unemployed. THAT'S WHAT HE WANTS!!!!!

  • SO GOOD! HA Global warming.. its actually caused by Cow Farts but no one is supposed to know that

  • scarier still because its true. the guys we deride here for being socialist, are certainly to the right of the current administration.

  • These crumby polititions are living breathing examples for term limits.

  • when American elected representatives make Canadian elected representatives look good, you know things are sliding. I'm just saying, if Taliban Jack Layton of the NDP looks to be to the right of Obama's administration, than anything is truly possible.

  • It's called pork-barrel politics. My question is why are you so enraged about this now? It happens ALL the time.

Oh, right, you hate the Health Care bill and will attack it any way you possibly can.

P.S. I liked the comments you showed about Global Warming, and how everyone was to the effect of "it's B.S.". Especially when Global Warming (and more specifically, Anthropogenic Global Warming) are well established. Do you deny Evolution too? Seriously, I'd like to know.

  • I say let the bribes go and health care pass along with cap and trade carbon taxes, this will bankrupt the federal gov't and the people, cause a no confidence standing among the states and other countries, the system will dissolve and the states will have to return to the original U.S. governance of confederation, which in turn will bulkanize.Solves inflation, illegal immigrants constitutional rights, entitlements and a whole slue of problems.Yea politicians! Do you smell something?

  • Each party has it's weakness. Unfortunately for Democrats, it's biggest weakness is taking multi-million dollar bribes for their vote. I would name names but wouldn't be right. Would it Ted?

  • Hhm, back door deals and bribes...sounds like my last date...

  • Errr, hasn't there been back door deals & "bribes" to get bills passed for quite a while now?

People are far more credible in my eyes when they're consistent in what they'll call out as wrong (which "bribes" are, along with all non grass routes funded & organised lobbies) & don't just do it along party lines.

    *sigh*

  • It's all about the money.

    Particularly with this radical Administration.

  • landrieu is a whore

  • Dude, the comments at the end are way too fast, there is very little time to read them. I know I can pause it, but it would be better if you allowed for more time to answer

  • I'm a proud Louisianian. But not proud of Landrieu. $300 million. That's about $100 per resident of Louisiana! Too bad it's going to cost us MUCH more in taxes for all the other stupidity in this bill.

I voted against that corrupt wench last year and I would love to recall her, if the law allows.

  • That sounds kind of like peer pressure to me. Come on... Everybody else is doing it. It'll be great. You'll see.

  • If all the other industrialized nations jumped off a bridge, would you?

  • @chjoezen

    Love it! FTW!

  • We got to fit in or else all the other industrialized nations will pick on us.

  • Comment removed

  • The democratic party is a criminal enterprise. This healthcare bill is nothing more than another massive step to insure their power. They must be removed if even by force.

  • I can't imagine an insurance company not using your money to pay out to another claimant. Say for an expensive procedure, they need extra money other than what you've paid?

MRIs are an area that the NHS can improve on, does it make the whole service bad? No. And the waiting times are NOT as bad as the media reports.

I'm glad that some of my money is going to help someone else. My NHS care has always been good, worth my money, I doubt every patient anywhere gets good care 100% of the time.

  • it is illegal and immoral to be paid for anything in the government!

  • @The1redhead2

Illegal and immoral are unrelated. Progressive taxation is immoral, but unfortunately not illegal. None of these senators get to pocket the money, so it doesn't count as bribery.

  • you know i believe islam is false but some times i wish one of them would blow up all DC

  • Landrieu comes from a state that is notorious for it's corruption. And yeah, what she did is bad...really, really bad. Her children and grandchildren will never feel the repurcusions (sp) of this bill, but yours and mine will most certainly feel it. I don't know what state that you live in, but do you not realize that your tax dollars are going to pay for the mistakes that the local and state officials made regarding Katrina? It's not all Bush's fault.

  • @jade0425

This is not corruption. It is a logical result of current political incentives. Unfortunately the incentives are set up so that politicians benefit a lot less from keeping government small than they do from bringing home the bacon. This is why small government has been a losing battle during most of the 20th century.

DON'T HATE THE PLAYERS, HATE THE GAME.

Now what are we going to do about it?

  • HELL NO to HELLcare seniors will be screwed over. Abortion will end up being covered by tax payer money. Small bussiness will take a major hit. Those in bussiness will see this as a way to dump healthcare for it's employee's onto gov. The threat of jail and a big ass fine aimed at individuals if they don't have healthcare. Oh and lets not for get the cost of it all- way out of control.

  • Another crappy video that makes our side look bad. Obamacare sucks, but you seem to have no clue why. To wit:

    1) The Senate never debates anything. Nothing ever said in the Senate changes (or even is intended to change) another Senator's mind. So don't use that as some sort of standard that this "debate" must meet.

    2) Even good legislation only passes by horse trading. Don't hate the players, hate the game.

    3) Are you a climate expert? Then you don't know for sure if warming is real. Period.

  • @mikelowry5

    4) The emails prove that even the real climate experts over-estimate the certainty that they have for their anthrogenic global warming theory. So yes, nail them for lying about that. But don't pretend that you know better.

    5) If you can get Dr. Michaels on HowTheWorldWorks, THAT will bring you some cred.

    6) Plus nail Al Gore's minions for their conspiracy to intimidate scientific journals into automatically rejecting papers by global warming doubters.

  • Liberals have never been able to explain to me why we've had warmer periods in history than now. And likewise can't explain any good part about socialized medicine except for the fact some can live on the backs of others. They can't get their own insurance or start a clean energy corporation. They can't make capitalism work for them so they whine for control. Summed up- their just socialists.

  • You are right, this is a bribe, and Landrieu has sold out for votes of her own constituents, who themselves have been corrupted by the power to take money from taxpayers in other states.

  • "It's illegal to say to a voter "Here's $100, vote for me." So what do the politicians do? They offer the $100 in the form of Health Care, Social Security, Unemployment Insurance, Food Stamps, tobacco subsidies, grain payments, NEA payments, and jobs programs."

  • "what do you think of this disastrous bill?"

    that's not loaded at all

  • its meant to be dooche

  • wow finally a meaningful video from this guy. You took a while man.

  • Obama, let this be noted. But when 2012 comes, you will face the wrath of American Triumph, of course in 2008 you faced the success of American Stupidity but may the same fate ensue you that ensued Carter. AS A CONCERNED CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, I HEREBY CONDEMN YOUR ACTIONS. YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF OFFICE.

  • "Every couple decades in the United States, you will have elected leaders persuade the population to transition to a more Socialist [Marxist] Communistic state.

Trying to unstitch the fabric of American freedom. These leaders to make a mark on our glorious country but the people will always learn and always triumph that we are a capitalistic democracy, we function as one and we always will, no one with socialist ideology will tear apart the land of the free and the home of the brave"

  • Proof that Global Warming is stupid, Mars temps went up at the same rate as the Earth. So weird, it was like something else, that was ummm heating up the uhhh planets, gee what would do that?

Global warming nuts are just like religious zealots of the 1200s, running around looking for witches and demonizing anyone who dares to point out their "science" is wrong.

  • This is what I took from a news article

"Congressional budget analysts put the legislation's cost at $979 billion over a decade and say it would reduce deficits over the same period while extending coverage to 94 percent of the eligible population." HOW WOULD IF FUCKING REDUCE DEFICITS, IF YOUR IN DEBT, YOU DONT SPEND MORE MONEY TO GET OUT OF IT, AND THE ECONOMIC "OPTIMISTS" ONLY FACTOR 6 FUCKING YEARS, THE BILL WILL ACTUALLY COST $2.5 TRILLION! FUCKING CHRIST OUR GOVERNMENT IS FULL OF IDIOTS

  • CGIGamer...I wish you would be a little more clear with your point..I'm not sure I got you message. (LOL) You nailed it bro!! Hey, let's get sloppy dog drunk and then lets simply drink ourselves sober again. The fact is, we keep electing the same MORONS to DC over and over and over then we act surprised when they pull this kind of insanity...no, the electorate is insane for repeating the same mistake while expecting a different outcome.

  • Apparently he was saying the news report contradicted itself; by claiming it will reduce the deficit while saying it will add to the deficit at the same time. A serious blunder.

We don't elect the same people to Washington over again; the problem is the human nature they have in common and how it interacts with the system in place that gives them power that no normal or even notoriously benevolent person can be trusted with. Electing nicer people won't do; we need to limit their power.

  • I dont mean to be a cunt, but where the fuck were you when the insurance groups etc were throwing money into the pockets of the government officials to BRIBE them to vote against healthcare reform? I might have missed the vid, but really thats kinda you know, odd.

  • He was arguing that, not sure which it was, but he was pointing out that very issue. AARP sells medicare gap insurance, they are going to have a BOOM with this, and HTWW has pointed this out.

  • its been going on for monthsi mean(the bribes against reform i mean) and this is the first time i hear him saying anything about bribes in general, i just wonder why its just "now"

  • The insurance companies were initially for the Bill, till they found out they were not going to be making tons of money. He pointed that out, pretty damn positive of this.

AARP has been for this from the get go, not sure how they knew they would be safe, but it was probably a secret phone call.

  • The fact that companies have to bribe the authority is the problem: we must eliminate the authority. The government should not have the power to mess with the healthcare industry at all: Laissez-faire.

If we get the government out of the way, everything we need it to do can instead be done by private companies. We don't need an authority that sets the rules for our healthcare. Libertarianism 2010!

  • Or maybe you just make it illegal for these groups to go about bribing people?

As for "everything we need it to do can instead be done by private companies", ha, you really think they will protect you're rights and wont undercut things like saftey of products etc if the government didnt make sure the products they release are safe?

  • Outlawing bribery is like outlawing crime. It doesn't matter what is against the law: if there are unprotected goods, they will be stolen. If the government has the power to command the exchange of goods and services to someones benefit and at the expense of taxpayers, there will always be a way to slip a bribe in. The goods must be the responsibility of the producer; healthcare must be the decision of the individual. Empowered individuals freely support the companies that do what they need.

  • we in the uk seem to be doing alright with catching the government taking the piss with bribery (hell the ukip party have to give money back which was a donation from a guy because of a computer error that removed him as a voter for the year he gave it, the guy was/is regestered every other year of his life)

As for "the goods must be the responsibility of the producer", that only works when you have punishment for bad quality.

  • I need to admit 2 things

-The EU allows for free movement of people and capital while protecting the people from a government above the state

-Government run health insurance is easier than developing a market to distribute it.

Ughh.. this would take more than 300 characters...

essentially, by giving power to the government, it creates a target for bribery and allows for spends people's money without their consent.

A market is more valuable because it is more stable. gov't can sell healthcare,

  • Well Lee it is only 33 more days till Christmas and these senators have to get their list in before Saint Nickolosi goes back to her district.

Does integrity no longer exist in politics anymore?!

  • Saint Nickolosi....I like that!

  • They way money is being thrown around these days what is $300million dollars when we've already allocated 13 trillion? Thats how policians justify these bribes. Even if we vote the healthcare voters out in 2010 it will be too late cause that crap will be law. The dems know this and they are circumnavigating every rule possible to cram this crap in. They got 60 votes to debate healthcare? Don't they only need 60 votes to pass it anyway? What a farce.

  • Just because Cap and trade will bankrupt our economy doesn't mean any of us have the right to deny basic scientific fact.

All rational people agree that cap and trade will bankrupt our country.

All rational people accept the basic science behind global warming.

There are simpler solutions, and quite frankly, it's a simple problem and nobody needs to cowtow to statist democrats to solve it.

  • All rational people accept the basic science behind global warming? Really?

There is NO science behind global warming. It was, and has stayed a theory. A failed theory at that.

  • Do you mean Theory in the scientific sense or in the laymans "should have paid attention in science class" meaning?
