the gas from the Mcgill bros lease contains a high level of naturally occurring benzene and XOM is required to label the tank as containing benzene. They always label things as Benzene before they dump them on the ground. It's the XOM way. We tested the groundwater under the tanks and it has a really high level of Benzene, Toulene,and Xylene. The railroad commission ordered XOM to close down this operation in 12-08 and remediate it. It will take years and tens of millions of dollars. Sad
I thought this was supposed to be Benzene leaking? Looks like either a fuel or saltwater to me. Benzene is a refined product not a crude material found in the fields (though it is a part of crude).
I'm just glad that one day I'll be called away from this world and not have to live in an environment that allows this sort of thing to go on. Thanks for the posting of this video.
