i just watched the video on the n96 and it can use the dual led flash for video recording. why don't they make the n900 to be able to do that also? they should make an app or update to do that.

now i know how to use the flashlight. i want to know if you can use the flashlight with the video camera to record in the dark. does anyone know if it is possible or if there is some kind of app to do it? i tried pressing the button for the camera when the flashlight was on but the camera turned on and then shut off right away.

dont turn it off with the cover, turn off in menu, theres a glitch were if u close the leanse while its on, it will turn off but wount turn on agen enless u reinstall flashlight, which is gay :P

I've been able to reinstall flashlight even after shutting off with lens cover. But I did encounter that glitch on the old firmware.

i see. its because i have old firmware then.

i cant update due to the not enough memory glitch. when ive deleted all my apps. guess il have to ssh and manually do some house keeping in the root Dir.

With "not enough memory" disable "Extras Testing" or "Extras Devel" catalogues.

yer i did that, but too late. the problem is that i tried to install amsn but its crashed so the files are still there and i cant remove them enless i use ssh. its taking up 22mb in my root dir, thats alot.

I could tell you the repositories to get these but it is not recommended as they can cause all types of weird things in ur N900,

look @TandTProject for eg.

He seems like an experienced user and get it fixed through the shell but do u even knw what ssh is.

Just have patience they will turn up in store when finished.

In this case you can clearly see the disadvantage of having a camera lid that covers both the camera lens and the flash.

I think it would be better if it covered just the camera lens, like in most other Nokias.

It's pretty damn bright, got my N900 yesterday and tried this, it lighted almost my whole room easily.
