  • this guy is still a liar.

  • This guy is a liar. Insurance regulation reform is not a government takeover.

2/3 of the people who are unhappy with Health Care Reform are disappointed that it didn't do more.

This Price guy is a liar

The Price buy is a liar, and real lying hypocrite.

  • OBAMA IS A BITCH

  • I want my freedom!!!!!!!!!!! Grab your guns, we are going to war in our own backyards!!!! Time to show what really happen with 911, and remove all bankers by hanging them all that have to do with this..

  • I OBJECT!

  • It's Obama's and liberal democrats wish to bring every down to an impoverished level. All Obama talked about in the campaign was jobs, jobs, jobs. Hey democrat morons, how about creating careers instead. You tax every large company in the US which means they send jobs overseas which in turn means layoffs here which means less of a tax base here for you to steal from.

  • You were just paid off by fox news and the insurance companies. Fox news is not real news! Its fake! Dick cheney runs faux news out of his bunker where he plans all of his wars! Down with Hallibuton!

  • I've been reading it, it does nothing to stop, in fact it increases the cost of health insurance. I have found 9 other reasons in it, why we should vote NO, and I have a long way to go to finish reading it.

  • At my current take home pay, if I was to utilize EVERY PENNY to pay for my part for this bill, I would have to work over SEVENTY THREE YEARS to pay for only ONE WORD!

We are at a fiscal crisis here in the US and around the world, and they want to spend THIS much money??!!!

If my household was filing for bankruptcy, would it be smart for me to go out and buy three cars, two boats and a summer home? Uh...no.

This is not about health care reform to them. It is about POWER. Power to control U!!

  • Wake up! It doesn't take 2,000 pages to create a system to provide for a public option...unless its more than a public option. Your good intentions are going to end up leaving more without quality, affordable healthcare than we have right now! Here's to Congressman Price and others who WANT healthcare reform and not a nip/tuck bill that slips in every entitlement and government dependency Leftists have wanted for years...at the expense of health!

  • on the hallowed Ted Kennedy Massachussets government healthcare program. their copays are through the ceiling and the thing is going belly up! In France, where universal healthcare is a guarantee, they're closest down hospitals at an alarming rate. bottom line is conservatives like Price are against this healthcare bill precisely because they are FOR healthcare coverage!

  • Boomer - hey man...wakey wakey! you don't have to do much discouraging to get people to not read a 2,000 page healthcare bill that's longer than Atlas Shrugged...to your other point, have you ever read a piece of legislation? sure it's english, written in legalese. it's usually more complicated than legalese. good point on the CBO, he actually might be low balling it, it's closer to $1.1 trillion according to them (not the $800 billion reported by the House). And for montims, study up on the

  • Fact of the matter is that ITS THE G-damn gov't that makes health care so expensive! 1) there is no free market for health insurance. You cant buy from whatever company you want. Here in Minnesota you only have a few monopolies to choose from so they can rape you financially (One ceo got 1.4 BILLION in cash and stock a few years ago for running a NON PROFIT!(I believe it was united healthcare) 2) millions of illegals get healthcare and never pay their bills so WE get charged MORE! f the gov't!

  • same in pennsylvania.....we have a few to pick from and theyre all bloody thieves...

  • Yea, thats the answer to everything , spend more money . If this is the fix, why can't congress take their time and and do it right, whats the rush if its not going to be implemented in 2012.

  • Instead of complaining why don't you start reading it? Isn't that your job? Do you need the number for Evelyn Woods?

  • I don't want government health care. Thank you Dr. Price for fighting the communists in DC.

  • Well said and well done!

Let us have the CBO score the Bill with 10years of costs and 10 years of taxes & fees rather that 10 years of taxes and fees but only 6 or 7 years of costs!

Let us buy insurance across state lines.

    Let us have Tort Reform.

Let us have uniform Medicare costs per recipient throughout the US: Miami is >$16,000 and Mpls/St Paul is $7400 per Medicare recipent.. Gov't can't even control the costs and abuse in Medicare; they can't with a "public option"!

  • What a dick. Is this the best they have? Put a stack of papers together and trying to discourage people from reading the bill themselves. For crying out loud, anyone can read this thing, it's not greek...it's written in English.

Not only is he not telling the truth about the net cost (CBO report) he makes it worse by saying you can't pick your Doc..what a sack of shit.

  • the report gives no info as to what it will cost the individual, which is what people want to know... and apparently the cost is gonna end up being higher than private insurance( it was on the front page of the philadelphia inquirer) but i still havent seen any hard numbers....and one estimate is that only 6 million will buy it( the public option) i think it would be better to allow the insurance companies to compete nationwide, and give vouchers to buy a policy based on income.

  • The public health insurance option is a policy among other policies offered in the Exchange. Certain criteria have to be met in order to be able to access the Exchange to choose a policy that fits your needs and income.

On page 252 of HR 6932, you will find the how the cost for individuals for The Public Health Insurance Option.

  • If you can't afford your employers plan or have been without insurance for at least 6 mo, you can access the Exchange. If your income is 400% of the Fed poverty level or less, you qualify for the Public Option, where premiums, yearly out of pocket and life time expenditures are set by your income relative to the poverty level you fall in. They range from 1.5% lowest to 11% highest.

  • well, this plan is horseshit so far.....it looks like my income will make my out of pocket expense go from 2000 to 4000 a year, and i gross 38 thousand a year...ridiculous...

  • The Public Insurance Option is only one package you can choose from in the exchange, if you qualify for the exchange in the first place. If your coverage now is provided by your employer and mets the "basic" requirements, I'd keep it if I were you.

  • thats if its still there if the public option passes....i think most large employers will be ready to dump coverage if this passes...

  • The qualifiers for the Exchange is based on the number of employees ( 25 to 100) , for the first 3 yrs, then it's wide open to any employer who wishes to be included in the exchange. But keep in mind the "op-out" provision for states after the 1st yr (2013). In that case, if the state op-out, no employer or individual in that state will be eligible for the Exchange.

  • what a load of crap - why the hell is he trying to stop ordinary people having access to healthcare? 1 uninsured American dies every 12 minutes. what a nasty nasty film.

  • Keep up the good fight - well done 2 minute video.
