despite the feel good messages like "save the planet" and how much this movie is like Ferngully... there is an under laying theme of Anglo superiority.

The Navi natives wanted their land and their people to stay the same on their planet. There was no massive immigration and the Navi took pride in their culture, their way of life and wanted no outside influence

I see this movie as actually a lesson for our tribe. We like the Navi want our land for OUR people with no immigration, no affirmative action and to be simply left alone. We can self govern within our own race.

The follow 2 times as I paid attention to the movie not only did I think it was very original but it made you truly think about were we are going as a society and if we need to slow down on A.I. intelligence. While I enjoyed the movie for the sake of the movie and didn't really look for whatever message was being conveyed whether it was support of nature, anti-military, the so called underlining white messiah fable. I was to blown away by the visuals to look into any deeper message. I compare it to the first time I saw the Matrix the only movie I ever went to see 5x in a Movie theater. The first 3x I was so caught up in the action and effects I never payed attention to the plot or understood it.

Why would you presume it is blacks who would be most offended by the message of the movie (other than maybe those who live in Africa). The racial superiority message in the movie seemed primarily anti-Native American.

One can easily glean from the movie the concept that any white man could go into a Native American tribe and be better than them at everything they do in a couple months and so they should all bow down and worship the white man, give him their women and obey his every command.
