my son has down syndrome and cerebral palsy from his waist down. he is 6 and a very happy bright boy. he walks with crutches and his teacher recently called me her and other staff were roaring with laughter he had slid and falllen yet when she went to see if he was ok he yelled" no!...i cant feel my legs!" then burst into giggles things like this make me happy with how the Lord made my boy.
@sawaugust The last thing any disabled people need, is other people's pity. They need many other things, yes - but NEVER pity. Disabled people enjoy life too, just in other ways. My sister is disabled. She can't walk, but gets around quite well in her wheelchairs. What they need most, is full accessibility and inclusion.
