@konman001 That's a bit hyperbolic. There are huge differences here: Obama has stated that there will be no occupation force (Bush's campaign against Iraq was only occupation). Gadhafi is openly committing genocide (Saddam Hussein had gassed political enemies, but wasn't using military force at large against a general population). The biggest difference in my mind is the attitude. Consider that Obama is reluctant, whereas Bush was eager.

I support both the UN and America's involvement in the coalition air strikes against Libya. The terms of this situation differ greatly from previous US military action in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Revolution in the middle east was not as amplified nor popular in the times of those attacks. Plus this attack has garnered much more support.

Gadhafi is openly committing genocide (Saddam Hussein had gassed political enemies, but wasn't using military force at large against a general population). The biggest difference in my mind is the attitude. Consider that Obama is reluctant, whereas Bush was eager.

World leaders are not acting as peacekeeper or mediator between the warring Libyan parties,they are obviously taking side.They are destroying a sovereign nation.And promotes hatred among fellow Libyans.It is destined like Iraq or Afghanistan.Take recourse world leaders,don't adopt a biased policy.Let your goal be for unity among Libyans.This is civil war.Don't take side,be on the center.Reconcile the warring parties employing peaceful means.

War is hell on earth....History proves military intervention is futile.It don't unite people,it only hastens further divisions.Violence begets violence.The devil again is at work possessing world leaders.They are destroying a nation not patching it up.They don't actually save civilians but they kill them by their inaccurate and not 100 percent precise modern weaponry.At the end,most casualties are civilians.

I'm glad the UN finally decided to help the people of Libya. It took too long in my opinion, but bureaucratic resolutions usually do; especially in international bureaucracies. At least now the free nations of the world are helping the Libyan people free themselves from tyranny. Even the Arab League is behind this action, so for those of you who support Gaddafi . . . your an idiot.

I support both the UN and America's involvement in the coalition air strikes against Libya. The terms of this situation differ greatly from previous US military action in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Revolution in the middle east was not as amplified nor popular in the times of those attacks. Plus this attack has garnered much more support.
