I agree the background music is lame, but i'm curious as to why christian bale sometimes has an accent and other times he doesn't, it's weird. Don't get me wrong Christian Bale is a great actor (the machinist was probably his best film) but that bugs me.

Someone hires him to play a part of an American and he speaks similarly to Americans. Someone else hires him to play a part of an English dude so he uses his normal accent.

If you notice he uses an American accent for this interview... even though his true accent is far from American. He once said he uses an American accent when interviewing for the Batman series, as Batman is an American character and he feels he would otherwise be confusing fans.

I don't understand why he does the American accent in the first interview. I get that he wants to stay in character but it seems over the top, maybe it's why he's so emotional on set, because he's so involved in his character and he really takes everything very seriously.
