First off, that's a great vid. Great idea. Great in execution. But I gotta say... when you're doing it with multiple takes, and having the divers transported to/from the surface, why not just go all the way and have tanks for them to breathe from between shots and save the transpo time to the surface. I realize that you want to stay true to some free-diving principle, but... c'mon... that horse has already left the barn with all of the complimentary shuttle service to/from the surface...

Breathing from compressed air tanks as to keep from having to surface would be classified as SCUBA. Rule #1 for SCUBA: never hold your breath. The buildup of compressed gases in their body would eventually lead to the bends, blackout or death (CO2 and possibly O2 poisoning) from exerting too much energy while holding their breath on compressed gas.

The only safe way to make a video like this is by doing what they did. Shuttle down and take decent timed breaks at the surface.

Well...... while it is entertaining and they are very talented, I think that the purpose of sinking the ship was to be an artificial reef. That means it will be a host for sea life, including sponges and corals that will eventually cover the entire structure. If divers continually touch, and stand or rest on the structure, this growth will be slowed dramatically or inhibited completely.

As with natural reefs, you should look but not touch.
