I used to play this heaps back in da dayz Rico is more of a badass in the first one and saves templer's ass I gotta say killzone is my favorite exclusive series on playstation and it's probably gonna continue on ps4 and I reckon the best bit of the game is when Rico blows up all the vehicles and higs in the park now that was cool

...another thing that makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER, is that Helghan's need the gas masks to breath on off-world planets, yet they still need them - in Killzone 2 and 3 - on Helghast! WTF!? Also, quote: 'Helghast are stronger, faster and more resilient than their human cousins' Yet - in Killzone 3 - in full body armour etc, they can be took down with a couple of jabs!? I'm not even gonna get into why Humans can breath without problems after so long on Helghast!

Killzone 3 does nothing with the franchise whatsoever, in fact it has inferior gfx in my opinion, probably cos' they went for a lot of expansive backdrops with tons of stuff onscreen (explosions, enemy craft, bots, debris etc) it just bogs the game down. They seem to be copying Resistance somewhat. Plus it's ridiculously short. It had some nice new weapons though it has to be said.

I've played and platinumed 2 and 3 as well as clocked the first one, and IMO number 3 sucked so much compared to number 2. Keep in mind I'm talking about online, number 3 single player was well made (if some what short, but hey whatever :D )

i think red faction was the best fps for ps2, this game was overhyped and in no way a halo killer allthough kilzone 3 might be that. The story and gameplay was good, its just the visuals and sound sucked

I have to be honest, I bought the first Killzone some years ago, and I sold it. In my opinion, being a FPS game, it was boring; very slow paced, no in-game music, among other things. It's not a bad game overall, but for me, it's not that good. I think it would've been better if the franchise started on the PS3; I mean, Guerilla tried to put too many things, that the PS2 couldn't (and can't) handle. But, just my opinion ;).

Rico is so angry because he thought the higs killed his daughter during the invasion of the ISA on Vekta to drive the Helghast back. Rico then went solo after the mutilation of his squad 10 years later after he teamed with Templar during Liberation he effed of to Helghan, although it doesn't tie in with Killzone 2 beginning (Liberation2 on Vita maybe?) although in K3 he finds his kid =)

One of the things they left out in the newer Killzone games was when you shoot the Helghast and they'd say stuff like "Bastard shot me",, or when you killed one of them his buddy would just say "Bastard", but in that english accent of thiers, its funny.

I totally agree with you on the multiplayer thing, SO many shooters today concentrate on multiplayer. Although it can be fun for a while. Nothing beats a good storyline. and honestly most first person shooters feel the same online in my opinion, and 10 - 15 hours is incredibly long for a game like this these days. I think crysis 2 is one of the few fps games that didnt make me feel cheated at the end of the single player lately.

I loved Killzone Liberation when I had the PSP I remember I will play it over and over again and this game is actually better than Return to Castle Wolfenstein Tides of War on the xbox which to say the least other than Halo 2 was a great title back in those days.

I agree with the reviewer, Killzone 1 is better than 2. The SP in Killzone was great and I loved being able to play as different characters with different specialties. Killzone 2 wasn't at all what I hoped for it to be. Killzone 2's MP is great but Killzone had some awesome MP levels and game types as well.
