It was NOT her fault, probably not even the teacher's. Other kids can be cruel, esp if a child is being pulled up for something in class, and the poor kid probably was feeling like he'd be humiliated. I was verbally and emotionally abused by a 4th grade teacher. She threw things at me, yelled in my face, made me sit in front of the class on the floor and copy down notes, locked me in a 1st grade classroom during lunch and wouldn't let me turn the lights on then accused me of stealing things from the classroom. It pretty much destroyed part of my childhood. In those days teachers could get away with abuse. I really feel for this kid. It can be very hard to convey the situation to your parents

I once tried to take my own life i lost my fiance and my job all in the same day i came home and i was so greedy i didnt see that my mother had cleaned my room so i took my 12 gauge witch i always kept loaded put the barrel under my chin and said god forgive me and click my knocked at the door asking me if iwas ok i said yes and she said i cleaned your room for ya and by the way i dont like loaded guns in the house i now take care of my mother instead of a rest home she is an angel god bless her

People who try to complain, judge or critcize should understand that we live in a society today that's being filled with negativity and other times try to deal with our everyday stuggles. For the people who spoke about their stories in this documentary, I do feel your pain, sorrow, love and loss. We all go through something somehow in life. Give the Good Lord a chance to lift your Spirits up man...
For those living with mental illness or dealing with a certain situation, get help immediately as possible and do something about it. Get involved in group meetings, do some volunteering, talk to people, do something that means something inside of you. I once been there too but here I am today. I'm still a work in progress but I'm still hanging on.
My love and prayers goes out to those that lost a loved one who means so much to these people since now they still in a better place. I encourage these people out there to think about your life, the people that loved and cared about so much, don't be afraid to speak up and stand up for yourself. It's never too late. Life's too short so better live it to its fullest.

Ironically in the united states, if you are suicidal because of financial difficulties and are taken to the hospital in an ambulance, you'll end up paying $100 for the ambulance ride, hundreds to talk to an emergency room doctor for an hour, $50-100 for antipsychotics and/or antidepressants and an exorbitant ammount for whatever stitching and stomach pumping is required... all of which makes you more depressed than before you decided to do something about it. Welcome to the world.

She referred me to the psychology department of a local hospital. Was told I may qualify for charity care. HA HA Was told I had too much in reserves in my bank account. See, I try to good by saving some money for my child's future education. I didn't qualify for charity care.
@Damienf77 Spent 23 hours in the hospital, immediately knowing that this wasn't the place for me. After a week or two received in the mail 3 different bills from the hospital totalling $4800. Took a few years to pay them off, paying $50/month per bill. What did this teach me, don't reach out. It was VERY depressing to still feel the same way as before PLUS having these bills to pay for.

This guy only hit one nail correctly.Kids don't have more stressors;they have different stressors than 50 or 100 years ago.They DO NOT have any more access to fire arms as they did 50 or a hundred years ago.A gun over the hearth was common in days gone by.The only thing he got right was kids not having parental support.Too many parents want to be kids themselves.That's the problem.

For those living with mental illness or dealing with a certain situation, get help immediately as possible and do something about it. Get involved in group meetings, do some volunteering, talk to people, do something that means something inside of you. I once been there too but here I am today. I'm still a work in progress but I'm still hanging on.

Ironically in the united states, if you are suicidal because of financial difficulties and are taken to the hospital in an ambulance, you'll end up paying $100 for the ambulance ride, hundreds to talk to an emergency room doctor for an hour, $50-100 for antipsychotics and/or antidepressants and an exorbitant ammount for whatever stitching and stomach pumping is required... all of which makes you more depressed than before you decided to do something about it. Welcome to the world.

She referred me to the psychology department of a local hospital. Was told I may qualify for charity care. HA HA Was told I had too much in reserves in my bank account. See, I try to good by saving some money for my child's future education. I didn't qualify for charity care.

@Damienf77 Spent 23 hours in the hospital, immediately knowing that this wasn't the place for me. After a week or two received in the mail 3 different bills from the hospital totalling $4800. Took a few years to pay them off, paying $50/month per bill. What did this teach me, don't reach out. It was VERY depressing to still feel the same way as before PLUS having these bills to pay for.
