I've fostered quite a few pregnant mom cats and seen several litters of kittens grow up from the moment they're born, and they can often be strong enough to wander off by only 10 days old, all this is is a cute video of a mom picking up her kitten after he/she wandered away from the crib.
This isn't animal abuse. You do realize that some kittens CAN WALK ON THEIR OWN! They're not completely immobile and as a person who's raised kittens and puppies, they tend to wander away and the mother has to retrieve them. This is normal...ffs people. Find something else to get mad about, like the US economy.
@HellsingWalter87 i have a bridge to sell you if you actually believe these people didnt put that kitten there to get it on camera... cmon now!! and at 2wks old they canNOT walk.. roll around yes but its eyes were still sealed this kitten most certainly did NOT make it over the lip of that bed and clear across the room... get some common sense will ya
@firefwi Haha. They can't walk?! I found a 2 week old kitten on the mine whose mother has died. I raised her and she's about 1 year old now. The poor thing was so hungry, it RAN towards people when it saw someone. Not walk, RAN.
@DieKofol tool... listen if you just found the kitten how the eff do you know how old it was.. you DONT! kittens cant walk that young.. they scoot yes but are incapable of running for crap sake their eyes aren't even open.. get a clue
@firefwi After having 50-odd litters because your mom is a cat-crazy nut, you would know a little something about cats. Their eyes open at about 10-14 days. And trust me, the little basterds do get around from about day 8.
@firefwi And how do I know she was two weeks old, you ask. My instrumentation team pulled out the cat and her baby from a waterpipe during a rainstorm. I decided to take mommy and baby home, so I kept her in a box in my office with some blankets. I forgot my window open, so when I came back after later, mum took baby and left.
@DieKofol so you saved the mom and baby.. but the mother ended up dead? great job taking care of them asshole...and if that isn't what you meant with all your rambling maybe you should take a break from the computer and porn for a bit and if by 'leave' you mean the military i can only hope you aren't one of our troops... wouldn't want the nation in the hands of such an idiot as yourself and you do realize you were babbling on and on and no one was even speaking back to you till now right?
@firefwi dude. this guy just told you he saw a 2 week old kitty run, and you end up calling him a tool, asshole and pornsurfer, and not once did he swear at you. wow. i'd be ashamed to protect any country you were in. it's people like you who defile the name of this glorious nation. diekofol, just don't reply to this message. he (or she, who gives a damn) is just not worth it.
@firefwi This all happened on the 1st of December 2010. So about 10, 11 or 12 days later (more or less, I can't quite remember), we found mommycat dead near the workshop. No trace of baby. A few days later, she was RUNNING around looking for food. I took her home (I went home early that day, the 14th of December, because it was the day my leave had started. So me and my wife had a new babycat to nurse for the rest of my vacation. First had experience, how's that for a clue?
lol even if it is slightly mean to take a kitten away to watch the mommy cat go get it, im pretty sure i would do it too cuz it's freakin adorable. it's not like the kitten was in danger..and im sure they didn't do it to be mean.
i just had 3 two weak old baby cats, and they just died in my arms :( i cried so fucking much. but that's life. it's nature's way, we know sometimes they don't survive. except it's not "nature's way" the fact thay they were found inside a plastic bag in the garbage. and they call the human race "rational and intelligent"... sure. whatever.
@RubyMak18 That made me cry.. the fact that the kittens were found in a plastic bag to suffocate and die. In a garbage. That's sick. I don't have words to explain how disgusted how I feel. Some people can be really sick in that way. That must have been tramatizing and heart-breaking for you. I hope better things, happier things head your way!
Wow there are some really stupid comments here lol. Its their cat and they can do what they wish since they are paying to feed it and the cat is obviously living nicely so you have no rights to complain. Cats eat their own out side all the time and will willingly kill each other without a human even touching them so theres no need to type out your senseless thoughts.
This many people freaking out over something so normal worries me. I hope I never have such guests at my house. "You use a hairbrush on your cat? Those bristles are probably poking it and hurting it! I'm calling PETA!"
First of all, people quit saying how "cruel" this is. It's not cruel, they were encouraging the mother to get her child. And I think it's best that they DIDN'T pick it up and put t back, it tells the mother when her child is in danger. The cat must be a new parent. Jesus, you guys part of freakin' PETA or something?
no shit thats how they pick them up. i meant it means to even touch a kitten at that age. ive had 8 litters in my house. i know how to treat a kitten at that age. you dont touch them at all.
@candypandaface Sure you do, as long as the mother cat is ok with it. It's important to touch and stroke kittens so they get socialized. I sure hope you get your cat spayed so you don't bring so many kittens into the world. Millions of unwanted cats are killed in shelters every year in the US; please don't add to that number.
Seriously...every one of you say the same thing just stop idc it's in the past and you aren't changing anything by complaining about the morality and humanities involved.
@ossger True, nothing can be changed...including the total stupidity of doing what you did. If you were in such desperate need for fun, why didn't you just drove some rivets through your skull and laugh? Or maybe take a 2 year old child from its mother and laugh while the child cried in distress? Oh wait...you would have gone to jail or even get executed in some US states, right? Animals are not toys...they are living beings and to a certain extent (more or less rudimentary) have feelings!
Since some of you don't seem to understand the first comment...I'll add that these kittens are all healthy adults now with good homes, one of which being my own. If playing with domestic kittens is anything out of the ordinary, there's a lot of extraordinary activity going on right now.
@TheNubCaik okay well, my name is not Dumb Bitch..sir thats probably the lack of maturity talking.. annnnd i said that its cruel.. not sure i ever called it animal abuse.. oh wait.. i didnt. cats reject kitten who are handled by humans at such an early age. and that is all.. not once did i say anything about this person hurting these kittens.. i said it would be tragic if she rejected them, ive seen it happen,, its not good. have a swell day (:
@TheNubCaik It is animal abuse if you take a kitten from its mother, put it on the floor and then laugh like an idiot while the kitten meows in distress. And yes, there is a danger for the kitten to be later rejected by its mother. Alas, even if it weren't so, animals are not toys for retarded post-pubescent guys who got bored of puling farts for entertainment. But maybe your point of view and your use of language can be traced to than phenomenon we call "idiots fraternizing".
@Shannoncotto91 Not quite the case here. The cat is obviously a domestic pet and considers it's owner as much of it's family as the kittens. My point: Dont troll or be a complete dumbass
@Shannoncotto91 um no why would the momma cat reject it if it smells too much like humans? THE CAT LIVES WITH HUMANS ITS ALWAYS GONNA SMELL LIKE HUMANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i would understand your comment if it were a wild cat...BUT ITS NOT OBVIOUSLY
Wow all the fucking hippies commenting on this video, take it for what it is. A mother cat picks up her kitten. The end. We don't know if the owner set the stage or not, it's all speculation. I didn't see the father cat in this video, should I go and assume the owners killed and ate it? No, because I'm not a dickhead.
@Branderoo in the end everything is all good and fine. the cats look pretty well taken care of and to be honest sometimes its okay to remove the kitten and have the mother return it to reinforce the bond. if they were starving the baby that would be something else but they're not.
@redbutterflynine um the cats at the barn i live near they dont care AT ALL if your put their kittens 4 feet away from them. no harm was done to ANY creature in this video obviously :P the momma cat probably forgot about it after like 5 minutes anyway plus what about veterinarians who take kittens away from their mommas and make sure they go right back?
@Feathertailforever cmon, there's no need to call em out like an asshole. Shouldn't you be out there making the world a better place, instead of judging everyone?
Come get your kitty NO come get your kitty NO COME GET YOUR KITTY fine aslong as u be quiet (picks up kitty) MY KITTY (whispers to kitty) are you okay? Did that big beast hurt u awww poor kitty
its so funny how you can see the mommy cat going on natural instincts. its like shes hesitating to leave the rest of her kittens vulnerable to retrieve another. but eventually motherly instincts take over and she gets it back with its siblings safe and sound. cute!
i do believe that she is. Kittens and puppies have this thing called a scruff which is a numb part of their neck so if you bite or pick them up there it shouldn't hurt.
She's only doing what comes naturally by picking them up like that. Maternal instinct makes them do it. However, don't try and pick a kitten up by the scruff of the the neck or you will hurt it. The mum picks it up in a certain way so she won't hurt the kitten.
Actually that's the best way to pick up the kitten. I did it all the time and all they did was go limp instinctively so I can take them anywhere. It's actually safest picking them up by the scruff.
