mine is terrible... only if i shine the light directly on the camera does it even record ANYTHING smoothly... pictures however are decent... i cant get my MP3s to play... and also my battery is drained in about 10 minutes... out of 10... 4
the stabilizer does absolutley nothing to the image, although it makes a massive difference in VIDEO. but mine is an IS-DV2.4 and is 8 megapixels, and so far as i can see from this video is better in most ways. Espaecially the picture, my camera takes EXCELLENT pictures.

I just need to get the usb line for it so I can use it as a webcam. I did not know it could be used as a webcam until I seen your video, and thats what I really wanted. Now I have one that is a digital cam, video cam, and webcam. Thanks for posting. 5 star for your video.
Target has this marked down to $24.98 as a 75% off clearance as of 10/12/09. I just bought one, as I felt it was worth the gamble, and I didn't want to risk damage to my good digital camera. Clearly a YMMV - just as the camera is, but there were more at the Fort Wayne store where I purchased mine.

i have the same exact camera exept the screen folds out and can twist. but i think i have a newer version or something, because mine is 8 megapixels and when you switch megapixel modes it DOES get clearer and clearer. and the focus thing like the sky video scene is better, and so is the flash. the night shot also works better. but the zoom is pretty bad, and so is the video quality, but not as bad as it is in this video but i got mine for over100

However, I believe I would use it primarily for capturing videos of the speech team when we go to state, nationals, etc. Speech pieces, especially humorous and storytelling (my categories) tend to involve a good deal of movement. Would you recommend this camera?

I own one of these and it's alright. I don't quite understand the poor audio quality. I found out that it was 11025 KHz sampling rate at 48 kb/s. Do u think they could have done better?
How did you edit the ASF format, what software did you use? What settings did you use to record the video 3MP, I assume since 6MP was no better? Thanks.
TheSkillionaire - I used Adobe Premiere for editing. However, in video you can only record up to 640x480. If it were megapixels, it would be considered high-def. Incidently, youtube only shows 320x240, so you can't even see the full quality here.
Where can i get hold of the camera drivers? I've downloaded the software but it's not seeming to work. I'm running 64b W7 ultimate

Please don't. This is year 2009 now. That camera is no longer worth $99. I wouldn't pay more than $30 for it. Get a real camera for your money.

I just got it for 69 with free shipping on Ebay. I know it's not a great camera, but it will serve a simple purpose for me.
I expect maybe VHS quality from it. Hopefully I get atleast that much.

i have this camera.
i hate it.
i wouldn't pay 20 bucks this worthless piece of crap.
it's unreliable, it records video then when you try to play them back its say "file failed"
and it freezes up until you take the batteries out of you switch through menus too fast
and by "too fast" i mean "not very fast at all"
i hate this camera and would gladly part with it for 10 bucks if i could find a taker

Balnkdrag - Yes and no. Some of my videos were in sync, others were not. With the MPVR+, the audio was always out of sync.
